Unexplained dazes
Oh so typical me - ]It was supposed to be a simple task, an easy plan. A quick bank robbery, a distraction, really- a fear factor. To let people know that they're still here, that they're still fighting, that they're back and they aren't going anywhere. They're still moving behind the scenes, they're still planning and they won't be stopped.
There weren't supposed to be heroes. Not more than two, not enough to meet their numbers or even outnumber them. The heroes weren't even supposed to know they were there, not until they started.
"What are we gonna do about them?" Olive asks, leaning on the fence of the roof as they watch the group on the street.
They hadn't even started the heist yet, but there were five heroes waiting when they arrived.
Deo, perched on the top of the fence next to Olive, hunches just a little further- like trying to get a closer look without moving. "Kill." He says, gaze still on the heroes. "I'll- I'll kill them. I'll kill all of them. Just tell me when."
Walli resists the urge to roll his eyes. "Calm down, Altair. As much as I'd love to watch you go crazy, you need to think. Logically."
Deo turns his head to the oldest, tilting his head similarly to his cat, Business Buddy. "Logica- Logically? I- I am thinking logically! They're in our way, we cut them down." He practically growls, even through his mild stutter, flexing his hand and likely reaching for a knife or blade of some kind. Like he needs one, he has the claws Icebomb made- those are probably more dangerous than any other weapon he has on him.
Walli almost wants to laugh, the thought about how hesitant Deo had been to kill for the very first time circling his mind. Yet, here he is, wanting to kill five random heroes because they threw a small stick in their path by simply being here. People really do change, huh?
He chooses not to say that out loud.
"What Callisto means, is that we can use them, Altair." Icebomb cuts in sharply, shooting an irritated look at the man before refocusing on the task of checking his equipment. He already checked it three times before they left, and reorganized it, but he's not happy with it yet. Somehow. "We could use the information." He adds on.
Boomer gives a hum of approval and agreement. "We need to know how they knew we'd be here, and if they know more details they shouldn't. If they know too much, it's an issue." They pause for a moment, leaning back further against the fencing. "... We can totally kill them afterwards, though. Right?"
"Ehh," Olive hesitates. "Maybe?"
Walli gives a huff, shaking his head. "We're supposed to be keeping a low profile," He reminds his team. "Killing heroes isn't part of keeping a low profile."
Walli admits he's being a bit of a hypocrite. They've all killed at least one person before, and currently, he has the highest kill count. He doesn't mind killing one or two heroes when they run into them sometimes, but an entire group at once? It wouldn't be a good idea, it'd draw too much unwanted attention.
Deo groans, reaching to rub at his face but unable to because of his mask. "Fine! Fine, sure. We can just- interrogate them. Or something." He gives in with a grumble of complaint.
"Go easy on them," Olive tells lightly, pulling themselves up and over the fence as well. They lower themselves down carefully, still on the edge of the building, just on the other side of the fence. Like a crazy person, just not quite as crazy as Deo on his stupid perch. "They look pretty young, Altair, and I don't recognize them. They're probably new."
