Erkenci kus recap ep37
I couldn't sleep and thought the best way to solve it was starting a recap that I can in no way finish in one night – so here I am 2:20 in the morning starting an erkenci kus episode... tale as old as time.
The next few episodes are going to be hard to watch as honestly I haven't rewatched it since the first week it came out... Let me just remind everyone that this is the episode after the announcement that Asli will be leaving and the 39th episode will be the return of Ayse. so I am putting a warning label on these next few episodes... THEY ARE ROUGH...but episode 40 is beautifully heartbreaking and one of my favorite episodes. So let's get some comfort food going and start watching. We will get through this together <3
Where we left off was the sweetest and heartwarming proposal – Can at his birthday party asked Sanem to marry him after getting a nod of approval from her family. Exactly how Sanem would want it – her family present and everyone happy for them.
1. The episode starts with the Aydan family returning home exhausted from Can's Birthday party
a. Mevkibe and Nihat look ready to collapse after a long night out - they mention that they didn't eat anything and were standing the whole time at the party... they aren't into the club life ;)
b. Sanem comes in with a smile from ear to ear ... I wish Sanem would have stayed longer than the guests and had some time with Can to really celebrate together. I wanted a scene with just the 2 of them kiisses and all. But it wasn't in the cards for us to have some Canem alone time :(
c. Leyla is excited for Sanem and Sanem is shocked by her engagement. She didn't think it would happen at the party especially because Huma arranged it all... this makes me giggle with a devilish smirk as Huma, the terrible and biggest Canem hater, made it possible for Can to give Sanem the perfect proposal ... hehehehe.... to quote jess from new girl – You can't escape destiny, she comes for us all that relentless B*tch!
d. Nihat gives his daughters a big hug and Mevkibe joins in saying how lucky they are to have these two girls.. It's so sweet :')
e. Then Mevkibe mentions she will have a son now and Nihat gets all agitated Nihat: what do you mean son? Did he ask me permission? he just offered it to the girl?!... At first I thought, oh boy here we go again another dizi where the dad refuses...
As they all freak out, Nihat makes this mischevious look like a kid who took 2 cookies out of the cookie jar and says just joking lmao way to stress everyone out Nihat Bey
Sanem actually bites him lol that is a Demet thing- you see in behind the scenes she bites people a lot ... there is one video where she is biting Anil (ceycey)'s ankle - and Anil says: if only you would stop biting me - I dont know what i can say about that except it's strange but I am laughing while writing this out of the absurdity of it
