I'm really sorry for not updating. The thing is, the final days of school have been really tiring, but it's over now! :)

This oneshot is the way I hope season 5 will end. It's longer than the previous ones, and I really enjoyed writing it. I quite like the result. :) hope you enjoy.xx

As usual, Granny's was filled with people who celebrated the return of the savior. But between the smiling faces and laughs there was Emma, who just sat in a hidden booth, head resting on Killian's shoulder. She wasn't feeling like celebrating.

The previous hour was a blur. Letting go the darkness was like waking up from a dream. A really terrible nightmare. Then suddenly everybody hugged her, Mary Margaret even cried. She tried to force a smile everytime someone talked to her, but pretending to be okay just made her more miserable.

After all the greetings and welcome speeches she was finally alone with Killian. They never let go of each other's hands, but they didn't say anything. He knew that she was far from being okay, but it wasn't the right time and place to push her.

He didn't even know what had happened to her while she was the Dark One, but he knew that it should have been the worst thing she had ever experienced.

So he just sat next to her, one arm wrapped around her shoulder, drawing circles on her skin.

Hours passed, and people kept leaving the diner. Mary Margaret and David were the last to head home.

"We are going to get some sleep." David approached them, smiling softly. "You two should too."

"I just want to stay here for a little longer." Emma murmured, moving closer to Killian.

"Okay." Mary Margaret gave her a quick hug before grabbing her husband's hand and leaving Granny's.

"Emma?" Killian whispered after a few minutes of complete silence.

She knew too well what was coming, and she didn't like the thought of talking about the previous two months.

"Hm?" She lifted her head, so she could look into his eyes.

"Talk to me, love." He pressed a small kiss to her forehead. "What happened when you were...you know?"

She looked away, forced a smile and immediately answered. "Nothing."

"You are really good at pretending, even your parents believed you are okay, but we both know you are not."

She sighed, because she knew that she couldn't run away. Not from him. He had seen through her even the first time they met, and he always said that he knew her better than she knew herself.

"I...had these hallucinations." She started, avoiding his eyes.

"Go on."

"To make sure I'm evil, it - the darkness - made me see terrible things... So in the end, I really did go dark." Tears started to stream from her eyes, and he couldn't do anything but held her tighter.

"What did you see?" He asked softly, careful not to upset her. He felt her heart beating faster and faster, which terrified him. Whatever happened, it couldn't be good.

"Firstly, everyone I care about hurt me with words. There were Henry, my parents, and of course, you."

It was like a pinch in the gut. He had hurt him. Well, it wasn't him really, but it still made him angry, because god, he would never hurt her.

"You all said really bad things like you are suffering because of me, or I'm a terrible mother..." She went on. Killian wanted to ask really badly what he had done, but he didn't want to hurt her more than she was already hurt. "It didn't make me dark though. I was heartbroken and miserable."
