I didn't notice I've been staring at the ground for god knows how long. Thankfully, someone interrupted my 'zoning out' moment because that'll be embarrassing if somebody sees me like this.
"Kira!" he shouted from a distance and I just lifted my right hand to wave slightly.
I swear he needs to stop shouting my name everytime he sees me or else "You don't need to shout."
I'll punch him next time.
"Woah, someone is having a bad day already..."he teased as he slightly laughed.
"..." I glared at him.
"It's almost 8 o'clock. Did you oversleep again?" he said with a frowned face waiting for me at the entrance of the campus like he always used to.
"None of your business." I said shortly and started to walk away.
Xavier Hanks, he's been my friend since I transferred to this school. We've been friends for a year now and he's still annoying ever since I met him.
I had to transfer to another school since some people are getting curious when they hear my surname and of course I didn't like that kind of attention. I begged my grandma to get her permission just to get away with it, I even changed my surname from Dunston to Bayton.
Bayton was my mom's surname.

"Hey! You must be the new student, right?" he said as he tapped her shoulder which made her eyebrows twitch as she turned around but he ignored it and smiled at her.
She glared as she looked at him, then gave him a slight smile afterwards.
A fake smile to be exact.
Well, she really doesn't want to look rude even though she feels that he invades her personal space.
[Yes. Kira was not into skinships, she was just not a fan of it. But, of course there's some exceptions *hihi*. Anyways, let's get back to the story.]
"Do I know you?" she asked coldly.
"So cold is she an ice or what? Also, her aura wasn't that bad. Maybe she was just not in the mood" Xav said in his thoughts.
"Seriously, who's this guy? Is he a ghost? I swear, he just appears out of nowhere." Kira said in her thoughts.
"Actually, no" he smiled "I'm Xavier, and I was assigned to be your tour guide around the campus."
"oh, that explains it." Kira thought
"But, in my opinion. I don't really need a tour guide, besides every hallway of this school has a map guide." Kira said to herself "I can totally figure it out all by myself."
[As you can see, this is the typical type of self-important person. But she just wants to be independent in any way.]
"I'm Kira, it's nice meeting you, Mr. Xavier." Kira was still keeping her formality.
"Oh, no need to be formal Kira besides we're the same age anyways." he says getting to his point.
"Another weirdo is added to my no list." Kira said in her thoughts.
[End of Flashback]
