Lucy's voice is heard, reading what seemed to be a journal of some sort. "I—I don't know what's going on. I'm not sure I will survive this. What happened?!"

-Darkness wraps around the scene- Two weeks prior.

"Oi! Lucy!" She turned from her spot at the bar to see Natsu heading her way with a paper. 'Oh no... He's got another job.' She turned around, only to be startled by the kind barmaid, Mirajane Strauss, giving her a suspicious-looking grin. "Why does Natsu want to go on missions with you one after the next? " she said with a tease in her voice. "I don't know! But every one he chooses gets me in trouble... Almost like he means to..."  She turned around and saw Natsu and Gray fighting and yelling. Her head hit the bar when she saw Cana make her way over. "Aww. -Hic- how cute. If you're tired, why don't you let him take you home? You can make all the trouble you want." Lucy's head shot up with wide eyes and a face as red as Erza's hair. "CANA!! Where did that come from?" Her forehead was red from hitting it on the counter. Cana took another swig from her cup and winked. That's when Levy came in, almost out of nowhere. "Lu-chan, you've never noticed how much time you spend together? How he's at your apartment all the time?" exasperated, Lucy spat out her usual rebuttal. "Look, guys, I don't let Natsu in my house, he breaks in.  We are a team; we spend a lot of time together because he keeps shoving jobs in my face!" She hadn't noticed Natsu standing right behind her,  a tad surprised. "If you don't want to go on a job, all you had to do was say so." He turned to walk away when he felt her tap on his shoulder.  "I never said I didn't want to go on a job. I'm just a little tired. That's it. Now let me see this one." She took the paper from him and read. "..."    "Luce?"   "Oh Sweet Mavis! This is a beach party!! All we have to do is light some fireworks and keep people from entering the nearby caves!! And the pay is enough for my rent!" She swung her arms around him and squeezed. "AAAHAHA. That kinda hurts." Natsu grinned. "I have to go pack!" She rushed home.

Warren walked up to Natsu shortly after. "Hey Natsu, can I ask a favor?"

Lucy awoke to sunshine and music from a stand close by her house. Sitting up, she stretched her arms. 'Ahhh. What a beautiful morning. Natsu slept at his house last night, so I got plenty of rest.' She looked around her room, partly because she couldn't believe her words, and got up to shower. She came out in a towel, prepared to dress for the day  "Morning , Lucy!" She squealed. "Natsu!! What are you doing here?!" Natsu had a grin on his face... a childish one. "I came to get you, weirdo! We have a job to do." She let out a sigh hit her forehead with her palm. "Alright. Wait here and let me dress. Don't you dare move from that spot! Don't touch anything! Okay?" Natsu glanced at her like 'Why?!' She shot him a look that told him he'd regret moving at all. A few minutes later, she came out, grabbed her suitcase, and off they went. "HEEY!!! Natsu! Wait up!!" They turned around to see Warren running towards them. Natsu stopped, arms crossed, and waited for him. "About time you made it." Natsu said impatiently. "Well sorry. I got held up." "Ummmm?" Lucy looked to Natsu. "Wha—Oh yeah!! Warren wanted to come with us!" "Sigh... Okay." They walked to the train station, but Lucy had to push Natsu to get him to move. "No! NO NO NO NO! I won't ride that Iron Demon again! I keep telling you this!" "Erg! Natsu! C-Come on!! Ahh! We—hurg, need to—haa, get on the train!!" "No!" She dropped him, looking down at his face. "Why are you so stubborn and heavy!? Ahhhg!!!! Warren! Is telepathy really all you can use? Can't you use telekinesis  or something?" "Hehehe. No." He was leering at every girl that passed by. "Alright then... Let's do this the hard way." She pulled out her keys and summoned Capricorn. "Yes, Lady Heartfilia?" Capricorn said with a bow. "Capricorn, would you please help me get Natsu on the train?" "Understood!" He picked Natsu up with one arm, while Natsu shouted like a kid. "LEMME GO!!"

Later on the train.

"Hey Natsu, enjoying the ride?" Mocking him after a tantrum was too good to pass up.  Natsu looked sick as a dog. "Is that supposed to be sarcastic?!" She was giggling behind her hand. Sitting next to him was always fun. She would look out the window, but he was always in the way... 'No wonder everyone thought that I liked him... It looks like I am looking at him.' The train rattled, and Natsu face-planted into her chest; then with another rattle, onto her lap. "Ahhhh! Natsu!" She thought about slapping him, but that wasn't really intentional on his part. "Uuuuuuuugh!" Natsu's eyes were swirling, his stomach was in knots. She ran her fingers through his hair, and he started looking better. She poked his cheeks and was playing with his scarf, tickling his nose with it. Now, instead of pain, he looked a bit irritated. "Sorry... Curiosity." Once let off the train Natsu was jumping around, yelling "Freedom!!!!!" Lucy smiled, Warren was barely keeping up, with all the girls around he was too distracted. "Warren, stop being creepy and keep up." Lucy called behind her. "Oi, Lucy. Look at this!" Natsu pointed to a wall with a poster of the party they were here for "Oh Wow! A poster. How big is this party?" Warren asked. Lucy turned to him ,eyes wide and jaw to the floor. "Warren, have you ever been to a beach party from here?" Warren was a little hesitant to answer. "No." Natsu smiled at him. "Well, that's why you asked me to come, right? I Hear there will be a HUGE feast!" Lucy thought to herself 'He's only here for the bikinis...' They walked on to the hotel and checked in to their respective rooms. Lucy was looking out the window, marveling at waves falling one over the other. Then she looked at her room. It had 1 bathroom, 1 queen-size bed, and 1 couch. She remembered that Natsu didn't get a room like Warren did. He said that he was "okay with sharing a room".  "Why does he do that." She mumbled to herself. Natsu came pouncing in, already in his swim trunks. They were black with flame print all around the hem. He had his scarf wrapped around his head like a ninja. "You're not ready to go?" He tilted his head. "Natsu, the party is tonight. We don't have to get ready yet, and I want to take a nap before then." She crawled into bed. "Hmmm. A nap sounds good. I need to be fired up to light some fireworks." He jumped in the bed, and Lucy looked at him like he was crazy. "Oh ho ho no. You get the couch." He looked at her with the same confused look. "Why would I use the couch? The bed is big enough for both of us." "But you're not wearing a shirt!" She kicked him off the bed. "But you've seen me without a shirt before! That's kinda part of my everyday look. And why is your face so red?" She tried to hide her face behind the blanket. "Because it's different!" Natsu sighed. "Fine. I'll sleep on the couch. Warren said he would come and get us." And they took their naps.

Later at the inn.

Natsu and Warren were waiting for Lucy in the lobby of the inn. "Where is she? She said give her a few minutes to get ready." Natsu said, sitting on the couch next to Warren. "What do you mean where is she? She is a girl; she has to get everything in its right place." He smiled in that creepy  way Warren does. Natsu didn't really get what he meant, but he wasn't keen on Warrens' face. Lucy came down from the room in her bathing suit. A white bikini with a pink hibiscus on the bottom of the top's right side and one on the bottom piece's left side. She was looking at Natsu and noticed that Warren had a big red mark on his face. "Okay, who's ready for a party!"
