"𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐄 you don't want us to see you off at the station?" Stella asked as she and Montana stood in the blonde's room packing her suitcase for Boston.

Montana nodded as she carefully laid Ava's pink dress in her suitcase. "I'd rather say goodbye here."

Stella noticed the far away look on her daughter's face. She knows the thought of leaving home is scaring her, but she also knows her daughter is excited to attend medical school. There's more. "Are you alright my darling?" she asked as she carefully folded Montana's clothes, as well as Ava and Laura's dresses and gave them to her

Montana nodded as she placed her clothes in the suitcase. "Yes mama, I'm alright."

"So, no second thoughts about leaving with Mrs. Stafford-Smythe?" Stella questioned as she gave Montana the cottage

Montana shook her head as she carefully and delicately placed her cottage in her suitcase. "No. Not anymore. I feel at peace with my decision."

Ah-ha. Stella understands now. "So you're having second thoughts about Jack?" she saw her daughter's face change slightly. "They are."

Clutching the necklace, which held a pendant which once belonged to her grandmother Ava, as well as a necklace that Johnny gave to her, Montana thought how to answer. "I love him mama. I'm so in love with him, it's driving me up the wall insane, but sometimes one dream is all you can have. Right?"

Her mother pulled her into a tight embrace. "The heart knows what it wants, my dear Montana. I know this is what you've always wanted, but I also believe in meant to be. What's meant to be will always find a way."

On the Walker ranch, Nathan, Aaron, August, Robby, Bobby, and Jimmy sat on the front porch, while Jack pulled up in Nathan's old 90's chevy he gave to him.

"Morning." Jack greeted.

"Morning." the men said as they stood up and got off the porch

"I just wanted to say goodbye, and thank you, guys. For everything." Jack said

"You headed home?" Jimmy asked

Jack nodded, the mood of melancholy surrounding him. "Clark and Lydia are moving onto the ranch, I'm headed back to New York tomorrow. I imagine Montana left?"

"We said our goodbyes at Stella and Johnny's this morning. You know, she's probably getting on the train right about now." Aaron said

"You asked me once, when I knew I loved my Ava, but you never asked me what I did about it." Nathan said

"What was that?" Jack asked

"She left on the train. She was going back home to Fort Worth. I went after her. If you love someone, if you truly love them, you don't let them go." Nathan said

"I've learned a lot from you, Nathan." Jack said.

"Then what are you still doing standing here? Don't you have a train to catch?" Nathan asked

Montana, Mrs. Stafford-Smythe, and Windsor took their seats in the first class lounge of the train, next to a group of other elderly wealthy socialite women.

"I'm glad to be leaving this godforsaken part of the country." one of the women said

Mrs. Stafford-Smythe looked at the woman with a scowl and spoke. "I wouldn't call it godforsaken."

"Horrible snowstorms." another woman said

"Beautiful sunsets." Montana smiled. "Rich soil."

"A woman has to be crazy to stay. Crazy. Or in love." another wealthy socialite said

Montana felt her chest sting, at the thought of her true love she would never see again. Looking out the window, tears began to weld in her eyes, as the sun shone on her beautiful face, and her beautiful violet eyes sparkled.

"Bound for Boston in 5 minutes. Last call!" The conductor said

"Montana!" Jack said

The blonde smiled brightly as she stood up from her seat and got off the train. "Don't go!" She told the conductor, and Mrs. Stafford-Smythe and Windsor watched out the window

"Jack, what are you doing?" Montana asked

"A man loses his woman he goes after her, it's as simple as that." Jack said. "I'll practice while you're in school, then we'll come back here."

"You'd be happy practicing law in Austin?" Montana questioned

"Austin is the place I learned to love the law, and it has you. I don't think I could be truly happy anywhere else." Jack said

"This isn't your world, Jack." Montana said

"You're my world, Montana." Jack said. "I love you, Montana Lawrence, I've always loved you. From the moment I saw you, I loved you."

"I love you, too, Jack." Montana smiled

The couple shared a loving embrace, and for the first time, they shared a passionate kiss, and rested their forehead against one another's.

"Montana, bring the young man back to Boston with us." Mrs. Stafford-Smythe said

"Last call, bound for Boston in two minutes." the conductor said. "Bound for Boston in two minutes."

Montana extended her hand out for Jack to take. "You ready?"

"Yeah, I'm ready. I'll follow you, anywhere, Montana Lawrence." Jack said as the two got on the train

As the couple took their seats next to Mrs. Stafford-Smythe and Windsor, the Austin sun began to set as the east bound train whistle blew.
