What If?- Staylor one-shots

Steven and I were together for over a year. The summer we got together was probably the best I've had in a while. My parents before they were divorced always had the worst of their fights during summer. When me and Bridgett were 11&9 they finally got a divorce.

That's why I'm scared to fall in love, last year when I fell for Steven it felt really good. But of course all good things have to come to an end. Last week a day before we were supposed to go to cousins he started ignoring my calls and text. 

He didn't say anything else except for a text saying 'sorry Tay but I think we need a break, just a small one.'

"Taylor wake up!" I groaned.

"Go away Belly," I looked up to see Steven standing there shirtless. I decided to get up when he looked at me like I was crazy and I realized I'm in just my oversized shirt and underwear. "Turn around!" He spun around with a smirk, I muttered "perv" under my breath.

"You know... it's nothing I haven't seen before Taylor." Steven said, leaving the room and shutting the door.  What did he mean by that. How could he just say we needed a break then come and flirt with me. 

Just then a text popped up on my phone, 'I'm so so so sorry for saying what I said last week please take me back Tay.' 

'It won't be that easy to get me back.' 

I put on my sweatpants. I did my makeup and went downstairs to see Jeremy and Conrad playing video games. While Steven was talking with Belly in the kitchen. 

I went into the kitchen and looked at Belly.

"I need to talk to you," I looked at Steven, "preferably alone." He rolled his eyes and went to go join the boys.

"What's up," I put my phone closer to her face so she could read the texts from the last week. "That's messed up."

Another text from Steven popped  up. 'Please take me back Tay Tay,' I rolled my eyes he couldn't go a day without saying his nickname for me. It was really cute though.

Truly did forgive him I just felt like making him wait a little bit longer. I decided to change into my blue jean shorts that barely covered my ass and a purple v neck tank. I went downstairs and Steven was watching some T.V. show. Belly and Jeremiah were on a date and Conrad was surfing so they were home alone. 

"Watcha watching Steve-O?" He turned his head around and went wide eyed. 

"Where you going Tay-Tay, the strip club?" He said laughing. 

"STEVEN!" 

"Sorry." 

"Whatever I was just gonna go to the mall," No I wasn't.

"Not in that you aren't." I threw my hands up and shrugged before walking to him and sitting down on the couch. "So can you forgive me?" He asked looking down at his lap. 

"You know, I accepted your apology the first time but I didn't understand why you said we needed a break." I said, bringing my knees to my chest.

"I was just in a bad mindset about my finals results and took it out on you, I'm sorry." I smiled and laid down with my head in his lap. I gazed into his eyes as we both began to lean in, our lips connected and I let his hand start to cradle my face.

"Ew get off my bestfriend," We broke apart to see Belly and Jere walking in with with lunch.

We ate lunch and all of the sudden the sound of an a loud knock ran through the main floor. 

"I'll get it," I said walking over to the door and opening it. I was shocked to see Shayla standing there with a pink duffle bag. "Oh, hi Shayla," 

"Hi Taylor I was wondering if I could stay the night?"

"Why?"

"I just need somewhere to stay for tonight," I told her to wait for a second and I closed the door going to the kitchen. 

"Hey guys, Shayla asked if she could spend the night." Steven rolled his eyes and gave me a 'please don't let her' look. Belly just looked at Jeremiah cause it was his choice.

"Tell her she would have to sleep on the couch."

"How about you do that Jeremy," He groaned before getting up and going to the front door. I went and stood next to Steven when he whispered in my ear. 

"If she ends up staying you are gonna have to sleep right next to me Tay-Tay," I felt my cheeks burn up but he didn't notice. "Those shorts are pretty short baby I can see your ass." He whispered again and I smiled before turning around.

"That's the point." He wrapped his hands around me and dragged me closer. 

"Hey guys thanks for letting me stay," Shayla said walking into the kitchen me and Steven both flashed her fake smiles while Belly nodded and scratched the back of her neck. His hands dropped from my waist when I gave him a look.

The rest of the day was... interesting Shayla kept trying to flirt with Steven which was quite annoying. No matter how many times Steven would ignore her she wouldn't stop.

I was laying in between Steven's legs on the sand as we watched the sun set over the ocean. I turned around so our eyes met and I pushed him down. I leaned down about to kiss him and he puckered his lips up at me. But before our lips met I stood up and started running around the beach. 

"Taylor!" I giggled as he started to chase me. I ran into the ocean in my swimsuit and he eventually caught me and dunked us both under the cold water. "I got you Mami." He whispered in my ear as we emerged and I grinded against him. 

"Mmmm."

"Taylor please don't." I smirked and ran out of the water back towards our stuff. I sat down and he laid down so his head was in my lap, and I started to run my hands through his wet hair. We jest laid like that for a while until Shayla came and stood in front of us. "What do you want Shayla?" He said in an annoyed tone.

"I need your help with the pull out couch." 

"What are you a stick figure, Belly could do it when she was 10." Steven said, "Or just asked one of the other guys." Shayla huffed and stormed back to the house. "Are you sure you have to go back home tomorrow?" I smiled down at him. 

"I know you'll miss me but yes I have to I have to start packing for college." He sat up and looked at me.

"Who said I'll miss you?" I pushed his head to the side.

"Jerk." 

"You love me Tay Tay." 

"No I deeply like you." I smiled and kissed his cheek.
