Jesse's POV
The summer was hot that year. I remember that I had to lather sun cream onto my pale skin. Being Scandinavian, I am pale so I burn easily.
Jaden and I had just got into a relationship. It was more puppy love than anything. We were still just friendly but held hands and often whispered 'I love you' to each other in class. I recall that in history class I had held Jaden's hand. I felt him grip tight onto me, the blush forming on his cheeks.
The best memory I had of our innocent relationship was our first kiss. To most couples, their first kiss remains a celebrated memory of how it all started. Jaden's lips on my own, our arms around each other, our hot breath twinning together into one mix. I could feel myself sweating as our kiss intensified.
It was a boiling day, my skin was even paler with sun cream. Jaden and I had decided to wander about outside of campus in the fields. Jaden had a stick in his hand to whack nettles to protect himself. The long grass waved only slightly, just whenever we walked past it. The sweat was coming fast on my back. I hadn't experienced heat this intense.
The field sloped gently downwards. There were trees at the bottom and the shore wasn't too far away so that we could go for a swim later to cool ourselves off.
"Let's just get to the bottom. We can rest down there." Said Jaden, smiling at me in a slightly tired way.
I nodded.
"Sounds good." I murmur. It seemed too hot to even speak.
We made our way down the slope. The long grass caressing Jaden's thighs, brushing his bare legs. I remember that he was just wearing his black t-shirt and his speedos. After all we went swimming afterwards so it made sense. I just kept staring at his pale long legs getting stroked but the feathered tops of the grass. I felt rib cage get small, like someone was trying to stop me from breathing.
I was wishing that I hadn't worn my swimming trunks which made me so hot. I had a plain white t-shirt on but I still felt myself boiling away. I'm sure my cheeks were blushed and that my brow was shiny with sweat.
Jaden stopped and waited for me. I caught up with him and took his hand. We lead each other, staring into each others eyes, never speaking. We never said anything but inside my head I was talking to Jaden, thinking about what was happening in running commentary.
The shade of trees was welcoming after the painfully bright sun. The shady refuge greeted us as we sat down. I remember that the trees were bound together in a arch. I felt like we were getting married. We were holding hands and staring at each other, taking in all details.
"Jaden.." My Scandinavian accent sounded in my mind as if the word were not my own.
"Jaden I love you and I want to be with you forever. " I whispered, pulling up every inch of courage I had just to say those few words.
Jaden leant forward and planted his lips on my own. His were soft and caressed against my own in a steady rhythm. Our sweaty bodies were pushed together. I could feel the moisture soaking through onto my t-shirt.
We pulled apart and started kissing open mouthed. It felt so wild and deviant, as if we shouldn't be doing this at the tender age of fifteen. Our tongues massaged and glided over each other, lubricated with saliva. It felt so wrong but I let the desire to show love keep going.
We finally stopped. Jaden was gripping on my t-shirt. I had my fingers in his hair. Panting, our breaths mixing and both of us inhaling the love mix.
"Jesse.. I'm glad I met you." Jaden uttered into my ear. I felt my heart get a shot of energy. It was all frisky and it felt like my heartbeats were becoming irregular.
"Jaden, I don't know what I would do without you. You are the best thing that has happened to me."Even now that memory is strong. Even here and now, with Jaden sleeping soundly next to me. I lean over and give him a gentle kiss on his flushed cheek...
