CATS

Cats are not the most intelligent,

Cats may not be the most beautiful,

But

Cats are one of the most precious things in the universe.

********************************

Cats were once worshipped as deities from ancestral plains.

Cats were treated as royals!

A Chinese emperor even gave his cat a court title.

************************************

Cats... cats are being killed as sacrifices?

That... that doesn't sound right?

Especially black cats?

But why? They're the most friendly!

Because of Satanic rituals and witch trials... for... fun?

Okay humans, what the actual fuck?

Cats in Egypt were literal royals. Black cats are good luck in China and Japan. The strongest, fastest, and most resilient animals are cats!

I've had just about enough cat slander! I will make sure cats have a way permanently worm their way into every humans heart... what about a parasite?!

No? Too late.

************************************

There's a single-celled parasite called Toxoplasma gondii, and it can turn a normally risk-averse mouse into a bold, cat-seeking rodent. Cats that devour such mice can then pass the parasite onto humans.

Pregnant people, please don't change cat litters for the next nine-ish months.

Too harsh? Okay, okay. What about making cats visible irresistible? Like babies!

************************************

Cats possess neotenous features. (Or baby faces)

Many domestic cats possess neotenous or baby-like features that conform to a "baby schema." These features include a "large head and round face, a high and protruding forehead, large eyes, a small nose, and a small mouth." There's just something so special about that little nose.

Better? Yes? Now, how about a way for cats to get your attention.

************************************

Your cat can be expected to meow in greeting when you come home, when she meets up with you in the house and when you speak to her. To solicit attention. Cats enjoy social contact with people, and some will be quite vocal in their requests for attention. The cat may want to be stroked, played with or simply talked to.

The standard meow is mid-length in duration and mid-pitched in tone and is the "asking for something" sound. The mewl, a short high-pitched meow, usually means "hello," and can be accompanied by rubbing against your legs. A long, drawn-out meow usually means that your furry friend wants something specific, like dinner.

What about make all cats friendly?

Nah. Sounds too much like a dog.

What about make them stop killing innocent animals on the streets?

That sounds like a you problem. Try keeping your cats inside?

Why don't you figure out global warming, illness, mass extinction, and many more issues with your race before complaining to me about cats? How does that sound?

Oh? You're back? Wanna hear about some of my favorite cats?

Yes? Sweet!

Let's talk about Masha!

Masha, a long-haired tabby cat, saved the life of a baby abandoned in the streets of Russia — after she climbed into the box he was discarded in and kept him warm, health officials said.

"The baby had only been outside for a few hours and thanks to Masha ... he was not damaged by the experience," a hospital spokesman told Central European News.

The whiskered hero even meowed to get the attention of a passerby.

"She is very placid and friendly, so when I heard her meowing, I thought that perhaps she had injured herself," said Obninsk city resident Irina Lavrova. "Normally she would have come and said hello to me. You can imagine my shock when I saw her lying in a box next to a baby."

Masha is a communal cat who is looked after by local residents. When she found the baby — who appeared to be in great shape — she immediately took to him as if he were her own, according to CEN.

"Clearly her mothering instincts had taken over and she wanted to protect the child," Lavrova explained. "He was well-dressed with a little hat, and whoever left him here had even left a few nappies and some baby food."

The baby was immediately rushed to a local hospital, where he was given a checkup and declared fit and healthy, officials said. Since the child was found, Masha has been hailed as a hero by local residents — and she's been reaping the benefits.

"Everyone in the block is very proud of her," Lavrova said. "We have all spoiled her rotten by giving her her favorite food."

What about Tara? The viral cat defending her human boy from a dog!

On May 13, 2014, Jeremy Triantafilo, a four-year-old boy with autism, was riding his bicycle in his family's driveway in Bakersfield, California, when a neighborhood dog, described as an 8-month-old Labrador-Chow mix came from behind and attacked his leg. The dog was pulling Jeremy down his driveway when Tara, who the family states was very attached to Jeremy, tackled the dog and chased him away, then returned to Jeremy's side to check on him. Jeremy needed 10 stitches in his left calf following the attack, but he quickly recovered and was thankful for Tara's actions, calling her "my hero".

And Buddy the cat! What a hero!

There is little doubt that Buddy the cat saved the life of his grateful owner, Rick Chap. Without his intervention, no help could have arrived in time to save Chap from his heart attack.

A Florida man named Rick Chap believes his cat, Buddy, gifted him with one of his own nine lives when he saved him from certain death by myocardial infraction. He was standing in his kitchen when he suffered a sudden heart attack that caused him to keel over the counter where he lay helplessly before Buddy led his wife to his side. (See: English Setter Saves Owner From Heart Attack.)

Buddy Was Acting Strangely

Mrs. Chap was working in her home office when Buddy entered and began behaving strangely. She told the press: "He was meowing, scratching and jumping, and just trying to get my attention." She picked him up and left her office, headed for the kitchen where she found her husband kneeling over the counter in the throes of cardiac arrest. Although she was not CPR certified, while waiting for the paramedics to arrive, she pulled her husband onto the floor and kept his heart pumping with quick presses to the chest.

Cats are just amazing.

It's said they have healing abilities through they're purrs too.

Thanks for reading humans! Maybe appreciate your cats a little more.
