well hello again

it's been a bit since i've been on here full time, i think i just about hit the two year anniversary since my old account got deleted, along with pretty much every book and draft i had on it.

thankfully, a few months before my account got deleted, my old ivy potter book got reported and subsequently deleted, which scared me into making sure i had backups made of everything i had at the time, which meant this book and the sequel were both saved. HOWEVER. i had also been working on like ,,,,,, fourteen other books, which all more or less had multiple chapters that i hadn't gotten around to backing up. so, losing all of that hard work was ,,,, devastating to say the least.

aside from that, life was also picking back up... i was in junior year of high school, which was uh.... eventful. i moved to minnesota and had a lot of things going on then, and when i was visiting back down south in georgia for the summer, i just wasn't in the best states of mind to be writing, though i did pick it up every so often.

when senior year came around, i basically threw my whole being into working in order to buff up my savings for college coming around the corner. i worked at the minnesota state fair and then worked in the mall of america ,,, i don't know. i was just more worried on keeping my senior-itis under control and going through the motions until the summer and college came around.

i got into my second-choice college and pretty much had everything figured out by the end of november 2022, so i was sort of just riding by, working at an actual job and working on my mental health.

i honestly never thought i was actually going to pick these books back up. to be frank, i'd put so much time and effort into editing them and making them exactly how i wanted, that it just seemed ,,, too much to jump right back into it.

but then, sometime during june, i got an email from another author who had been using my story to create one of the "reading the books" tropes. i really enjoyed the idea because it's a guilty pleasure trope of mine, so i approved of the idea. life also got in the way for them, but they had wanted to get back into writing their story. long story short, we have a shared google doc where i move each new chapter that i edit, and i had stopped when my book got deleted, somewhere in the middle of sea of monsters. they had emailed me asking for the remaining chapters. of course i was going to do that regardless, but i figured if i was going to finish off the effort of editing the whole story, i might as well publish it again for those who really enjoyed it.

now, i learned a lot about the last time this happened. i exclusively write in google docs rather than just through wattpad now, so if anything were to happen like it did last time, i wouldn't actually lose anything. however, if my account gets deleted this time, i'll probably just move over to like tumblr or something lmao. which, i'll probably do anyway, which is sort of what i was planning before this account got deleted and i lost all motivation.

SO to recap : i'm back ! and in college. scary, scary times. i'll probably not post everything all at once, but i may do it on a book-by-book basis until the second series. i'll also be picking up the other fanfics i was working on (although keep in mind i am a full time student and will be looking for a job ,,, uh literally as we speak, so my time will be kept up a lot). i might post my paypal or something bc ya girl is concerned for this tuition i can't lie lmao. praying that my university sees this 4.0 i'm holding and gives me a higher scholarship  

along with that, i'd also like to talk about an ORIGINAL book i've slowly but surely been working on, though i don't think i'll be posting it to this account. i think i'll get a different one that i will let grow on its own and be its own thing. it's not meant to be very long, so i don't know how well it would work on this account, which is used to uber long series stories. i guess it'll depend on what i decide when i finish writing it
