I sat in my crib, tiny fingers clutching the bars, and gazed around my room. The familiar sight of headbands and ninja outfits hanging on the wall was a dead giveaway. I couldn't believe it; I had been reincarnated into my favorite anime, Naruto. The sheer excitement of it all had overridden any lingering thoughts about my past life or how I had ended up here.
I knew I wasn't born in the Hidden Leaf Village like the main characters, but that was perfectly fine with me. After all, I was just a six-month-old baby for now. When I grew up, I vowed to find the main characters and befriend them all, just like I had dreamed of as a fan.
However, my new family in this world wasn't exactly what I had hoped for. My mother would feed me early in the morning, and then both she and my father would vanish for the rest of the day, returning late at night with bandages covering their bodies. The headbands they wore were from the Hidden Mist Village, which led me to believe that was where we currently resided.
My musings were interrupted when my mother reached into the crib, a warm smile on her face. She gently lifted me up and spun me around a little, her eyes shining with excitement.
"Guess what, little one?" she cooed, her voice filled with affection. Of course, I was just a baby and couldn't respond with words, but I couldn't help but let out a joyful giggle.
"We finally got in," she announced, her happiness infectious as she held me close to her face.I blinked up at her, my baby eyes locking onto something new hanging around her neck. It was a necklace, and not just any necklace. It was the symbol of Jashin, the deity worshipped by the notorious Jashinist cult.
My heart raced with a mixture of curiosity and excitement. It was clear that my parents had somehow gotten involved with the cult. And that could only mean one thing – the possibility of meeting one of my favorite characters, Hidan, was no longer a distant dream.
I gave my mother a toothless smile, my tiny hands reaching out to grasp at the necklace.
