Athena's Pov I was peacefully sleeping until I felt my body shake. "Athena wake up you have school," a voice said. I open my eyes and see my father, "Do I have to" I whine Yes you do Now get up he says. I finally got up and got ready. I made my way downstairs when I heard my parents talking " Do you really want to tell her this early? I mean it will really upset her" I hear my mom say "Yes then it will give her time to settle down". I finally hear enough and walk the rest of the way down. "Settle down for what?" I ask, they both look up at me in shock. My dad walks up to me and asks me to sit down. "What is it?" I ask, "Ok I don't want you to be upset but your basketball coach called and told me that the team has been defunded" he replies. I stared at him in shock, "then what am I going to do? How will scouts see me play?" I ask worried "well don't worry I have figured that maybe you could join my team" he answers. All I do is stare at him thinking about the choice. "Fine but I get to stay number 22" I say, "Fine, now let's go we gotta get you to school " he replies. I get up, kiss my mom goodbye on the cheek and head out. ~AtSchool~ I am at my locker getting my books when all of a sudden Musa jumps out of nowhere. "Christ Musa! Warn me before you do that" I say, "Sorry I was just excited to tell you that I finally talked to the new girl Tamika today" he replies. I look at his suspiciously and say "Mhm..Ok I'll believe it when I see it". I close my locker and start waking. To class but suddenly stop to tell Musa the news. "Oh and guess what, you have a new teammate", and just like that I smirk slyly and make my way to class.
