Chapter 6 - Lasted One Week

So the weekend went smoothly, and as I promised myself I'd try to speak less to Tate I occupied myself.So I studied and got up to date with missed work during my weekend.

In the week I actually paid full attention in classes and spent my breaks with Nina and Natalie. Nadia was still doing her usual phsycology thing where she offered to help anyone who needed it.

When the week was about over, the Friday last day of the week at campus, I walked into the Library and one of the guys in Nadia's class , I Think his name was Adam if I wasn't mistaken.

"So you in second year? "Asked Adam.

" Well , no I'm in the first year why did you think I'm in the second year? I asked.

" You always seem to be around second year students, thought you might be too, I'm sorry I just assumed" he said.

" I'm still small, can't you see that? " I asked hin.

" I'm sorry, " he stated.

" Its okay" I replied.

At that moment Tate, who I actually haven't spoken to since the previous Friday, stood in the doorway of the library and started laughing. He just nodded. And said, " Yeah , still small" and carried on laughing. I however didn't find it funny.

So , big deal to me,I only sort of made it through the week before I exploded with my personality of not being able to shut up.

After Campus I went home, Jordan was actually on time and I made it home by 11.

I slept most of that afternoon and when it came to the evening I couldn't resist myself. I picked up my phone and started typing, normally without thinking.

Me: " Hey Tate, I miss you.

Tate: " Oh yes I must still get you Horrors"

Tate: " But, you saw me this morning"

Me: " Yes!!!!!!! Horrors!!!

Me: " I know , but it wasn't enough seeing you this morning"

Tate: " Lol I hate dolls in movies like chucky.....your favourithe girly toys"

Me: " Ewww! I don't play with dolls, how old do you think I am lol!"

Me: " Remember when Adam thought I was second year, lol"

Tate: " What do you play with then?"

Tate: " Lol but isnt he in second year class he wouldve seen you if you were in his class"

Me: " Yeah, he thought I was in your class Tate, omw! soo I still told him, I'm still small"

Tate: " Yeah, the small part was funny ,lol"

Me: " Saw you agreeing to it when I said it you were like yep she still small nodding ur head there"

Tate: " Lol!! I didnt know what to say coz I always feel awkward around Adam coz I dont know what to tell him"

Me: " Imagine how I mustve felt! I'm a girl, just now he ask me also to marry him like he did with Nadia"

Me: " I'm not ready for for marrige, you better save me if that happens.

"

Tate: " Lol he asked quite a few gals to marry him..... it seems his hasty to get married"

Tate: " Just say yes when he asks."

Me: " What !! you willing to give me away just like that? well that's quite mean"

Tate: " Lol no, obviously its your own decision lol"

Me: " Obviously I'll say no omw!dont even need to think about it"

Tate: " His a nice guy, you can't hurt his heart"

Me: " Anyway, let's get off the Adam topic "

Tate: " No, I don't want to!"

Tate: " Just kidding lol, did you watch anything?"

Me: " I'm watching shcooldance finish its a crazy movie, lol! Kevin heart is in it"

Me: " What are you up to?"

Tate: " Lol I thought you watched originals"

Me: " I Watched it earleir today"

Tate: " Was it good?"

Me: " Of coz it was , it was Amazing!

"

Tate: " I have it but I have a bad copy"

Me: "I have good copies but. You didn't tell me what you up to"

Tate: " Lol oh yes, we having a games night...didnt go to the race track today"

Tate: " What you up to?"

Me: " I though so, else you wouldn't be talking to me, I'm laying in bed"

Tate: " I'm just watching them play"

Me: " You boring , I'd play with."

Tate: " What you doing in bed ...so if I play with I wont have time to chat to you"

Me: " I'd play with and chat to you, but then again you can't do both"

Tate: " I'll play with in one minute."

Tate: " I'm not as awsome as you."

Me: " I can multi task remember? Lol! You gonna chat to me after?"

Tate: " lol, if I lose"

Me: " okay.... I'll wait up for you"

So that night I waited up as long as I could. But fell asleep after a while. I mean how long can you wait up on someone....

Saturday Afternoon...

Tate: " Afternoon, so I'm going to my brother's wife's family tonight , they having a bring and braai, what you up to? And plans for the weekend?"

Me: " Well, babysit my sisters 3 kids while they go on a date tonight sooo they just came to my house and fetched me, I'm sitting in the car with the kids now"

Tate: "Lol you can take the kidz with for a drive, you can drive."

Me: " I can't drive even if I could, I have no car"

Tate: " Shame lol one kid is already to much to handle,imagine 3 kidz, but at least you gonna get paid"

Me: "Its my sisters kidz, its family they don't pay me"

Saturday Evening....

Me: " Hey, you tired"

Tate: " Hey, half asleep half tired."

Me: " I actually feel the same...... Late nights are getting to us I think"

Tate: " Yes it seems so"

That was the end of that conversation. Reminding myself that at this point, we were just friends but we started to become close in a way that was unexplainable.
