Leandro di Genova was to marry Rebekah, daughter of Mikael.
Not to say his affection for the girl was lacking; unbeknownst to all, Leandro, a hardened warrior, seemed to think he lacked the capabilities to be a true husband. Too engrossed in the safety of his father and sisters, providing and protecting them, that a girl, who was to be his wife, deserved far better than to be put lower.
The most prominent reason, of course, was that she was the younger sister to his friends, Elijah and Niklaus—the boys he had trained since they too were of age.
Their upcoming nuptials, prompted sooner than late by Mikael's request, meant that Leandro took it upon himself to ingrain with each of the Viking warrior's children, hoping for civility with namely, Finn and Kol, the former of whom he'd hardly spoken with and the latter of whom despised him.
After all, they would be family.
