Latching On

Chapter 8

Nash's POV

It's been 2 weeks since Magcon has started and 2 weeks since I met Elena. She was the best, I was getting close with her but she clearly likes Matt. She always gives me butterflies. Her voice, her smile, her eyes, her face everything about her was so beautiful. And she wasn't that typical type of girl, she was different and unique. But, she didn't realize how beautiful and meaningful she was. I wanted to make her feel that, loved.

I heard some shuffling and turned my head, I realized that it was Elena waking up. She slept next to me last night while we were watching a movie. I turned to her so I could face her, she was so gorgeous, even waking up.

"Morning, Nash." she smiled. I noticed how when she smiled, it brought a dimple on her left cheek and how her smile came up to her eyes, giving it a small twinkle.

I smiled back "Morning princess." She blushed at my comment.

I pulled out my phone and quickly snapped at picture of her. She must have realized, because when I went to look at the photo, she was doing the peace sign. I grinned and showed her the picture. She smiled back, sleepily.

I watched her every action, as she stood up from the bed lazily, her shirt showing small signs of her stomach and her pajama shorts exposing a perfect view of her long legs. I know I've said this many times already but she was beyond perfect.

"I'm gonna change." She said while yawning. I nodded and watched her carefully as she went to the bathroom. I turned myself to the other side of the bed, looking out the window. I was pretty sad today because it was the last day of Magcon until next week. Next Magcon was going to be held in Dallas. I hated leaving the guys and I would hate leaving Elena. I frowned.

Elena's POV

Today was the last day of Magcon until next week. I was getting depressed. I didn't want to leave everybody, especially Nash and Matt and my bestfriends Hayes, Carter and Taylor, oh and the wonderful Mahogany, and my singing partners Jacob and Shawn. I would also miss Aaron and the Jacks. I rambled in my thoughts while I took a quick shower. I blow dried my hair and loosely curled it. I applied my usual make-up which was just concealer, foundation and mascara. I changed into something comfy for the plane ride. I went out of the bathroom to see everyone gone. I went to the bed to grab my bag and saw a note on my bed.

'Hey princess, come down to the lobby, we'll be waiting for you.

Let's go get some breakfast.'

I smiled while reading the note. Cameron and I weren't leaving until noon. And it was only 9 am. I quickly grabbed my purse and went down to the lobby. As I stepped out of the elevator, I saw everyone waiting for me. I smiled widely and walked over to them.

" Hey Elena." they all smiled and hugged me.

"Hey!" I said while hugging each one of them back. "Where are we eating?" I asked.

They all shrugged in response. We just made our way out of the lobby and separated into two groups so we could all fit in the SUVs. The whole car ride was pretty silent, I guess everyone was sad to leave.

We finally stopped at a random cafe bakery that looked very cute. I smiled trying to hide that I was getting really sad. We all pilled inside the cafe and ordered our stuff. I sat next to Matt and Taylor. I ordered some toast and eggs. We all started eating and it was still quite silent. My smile soon turned into a frown, I stopped eating for a second and thought about all the memories of Magcon. I felt my eyes watering. I starred into the distance and soon felt a soft hand on my thigh. I looked up and saw Matt looking down at me with a small smile on his face. I returned the small smile.

" Don't worry, we'll see each other in a week." He whispered.

" I'm just going to miss you.. guys." I said, staring into his eyes.

After we finished eating breakfast, we had to go to the airport. So, we quickly rushed back to the hotel to get our stuff. I went to our room with Cameron as Mahogany, Matt and Hayes trailed behind us, following. I quickly packed all my stuff in my big suitcase. I looked up to see Matt, staring at my every movement. I smiled at him and sat next to him.

He turned to me and cupped my cheeks with his hands and mumbled "I'm going to miss you so much." He said it like he's been waiting to say that. I smiled and hugged him tightly as I felt a tear rolling down my cheek. Yes, I was very emotional.

We all piled up in the SUV as Cam drove us to the airport. When we arrived to the terminal, everyone didn't say anything, we were all just to sad to separate. We were like a big family. Cam and I's flight was leaving in 20 minutes so we had to say our goodbyes.

I first hugged the Jacks and said " I'll miss you adorable guys, text me okay." They nodded while hugging me back.

Then I turned to Taylor " I'll miss you Taylor, you big flirt, text me everyday okay?" I said and he nodded, with watery eyes.

I then hugged Mahogany and said "I'll miss you so much Lox! We should jam together more."

"Totally! I'll miss you too!" She answered.

I then hugged Aaron, telling him that he should text me and I also told him to not mess things up with his girlfriend. He laughed and said "I won't, I promise. I'll miss you too." He hugged me back.

I then hugged Jacob and Shawn, telling them that I'll miss them and to text me.

Then, I turned to Nash. I signed and hugged him as tightly as possible. We stayed like that for a few moments. As we pulled away, he whispered " I'm going to miss you the most." His voice sent shivers down my spine and butterflies flying through my stomach.

I gave him a small smile before adding "I'm going to miss you you so much, Grier." biting my lip, trying to hold back the tears.

I then turned to Matt and my smile soon turned to a frown, as I let some of the tears out. Matt pulled me in a hug and said "Shush, down cry baby." he said pulling me closer to him. I hugged him tightly like never before. I lastly hugged Carter and Cameron pulled me by the wrist because our flight was boarding.

" Bye guys!" Cameron said while waving.

" I love you guys!" I screamed before going in the gate. A big grin appeared on my face as I saw the many smiles appearing on my friends.

Then, Cam and I boarded the airplane. I was really sad, even though it's only been two weeks, it felt like years that I've known these guys. Cameron and I sat on our seats and I looked out of the window to see the guys waving by the window of the airport, even though they didn't know where we were seated. I quickly pulled out my phone and took a vine and pulled Cameron in it.

" Look at the guys waving to us!" I said to Cameron and to the camera. Cam and I erupted in laughter and we received a glare from the old lady seated in the row next to us. That just made us laugh even more. When we calmed down, I plugged in my earphones, tuning out the world and slowly fell asleep on Cameron shoulder, listening to Life Of The Party, which I fell in love with. Shawn has a really amazing voice.

I can't wait for next week. I thought.
