Latching On

Chapter 9

Elena's POV

I woke up lazily to the sound of my alarm. I fluttered my eyes opened and came out of the covers of my bed. I quickly stood up and went to the bathroom. Today, I had to go to school. Since we missed 2 weeks of it because of Magcon. I took a quick shower, letting the hot water roll down my body. When, I finished, I decided to let my natural wavy hair air dry and went to my dresser to pick some clothes. I quickly went down the stairs to see Cam all ready, watching some TV.

"Hey Cam." I groaned, lazily as I sat down by the kitchen.

"Hey El." He smiled, making his way to me.

"I don't want to go to school." I said.

He laughed slightly " But you have too."

I groaned and grabbed by backpack and a granola bar and my coffee tumblr.

Cam I made our way of of our shared house. Yeah, our family was pretty wealthy. Anyways, we stepped in Cameron's car and drove off to school.

When we arrived to school, I sighed, because I knew all the girls would want to be friends with me, just because of Magcon.

" Okay El, I'll pick you at a 3." Cam said.

I nodded and went out of the car, making my way to the school's hallway. And I was right, as soon as I stepped in, all these girls came rushing over to me, asking me for the boys numbers, and asking me stuff about Magcon.. etc.

I just shrugged them off and quickly made my way to my locker, I got my things and made my way to first period.

" Ah Ms Dallas." the teacher said, motioning to me. Soon enough, everyone looked at my direction and the girls started again with their rambling about Magcon.

I looked around and saw an empty seat next a girl that wasn't squealing about Magcon. I smiled at her and sat next to her. She smiled back at said "Hi, I'm Katrina." she said shyly.

" Hey, I'm Elena, but you can call me El." I replied.

"Oh, you're the girl that's everyone talking about." She smiled.

" Oh, well you see I went to this even called Magcon with some guy, and in this school, there are a bunch of hormonal teenagers that really want them." I grinned.

She laughed and said " Oh, I get it."

Throughout the day, Katrina and I became friends, I was quite happy because before Magcon I didn't have any friends at all. I was just that shy, innocent girl who stayed in the library.

Now, it was lunch break and Katrina and I were sitting at a the lunch table and I was showing her pictures of the guys and telling her all about Magcon. Katrina was really nice and she was really friendly. I invited her over to the house, and she gladly accepted. We were talking about something but we were soon interrupted.

" Hey Elena, you stay away from the Magcon boys, they are mine." said Tasha, she was the school's bully and queen B. She would always push people around and she also had her own gang.

I groaned and rolled by eyes " Go away Tasha."

She and her gang laughed in their bitchy way and Tasha said " You better watch it Elena, because if you don't stop hanging-out with them, you wait and see what you'll get." she said and walked away with her minions.

Katrina said, worriedly " Who was that?"

" Tasha, the school's bully and wannabe, be careful with her, she pushes around anyone when she gets the chance." I replied.
