Chapter 16: Hospital

AJ POV:

I can't believe that Rarity told me to calm down! Rainbow's my best friend and there's no way I would "calm down" if I saw blood on her legs...

Rarity was sitting next to me leaning her head on my shoulder. And it didn't feel right. We were waiting for the doctor to come out of Rainbow's hospital room and tell us what happened to her. 

Then, the doctor walked out of her room and came out with a sigh.

"So? How is she?" I stood up, and Rarity banged her head on the bench.

"Well, all her organs are fine... But, we suspect that she..." The doctor started.

"She what?" I asked in worry.

"She was raped..." He continued.

I felt tears forming in my eyes and I looked back and Rarity and her eyes were open as wide as I'd ever seen it. I didn't know if I was hallucinating or what but I noticed a small evil grin forming on her face.

I looked back at her doctor and asked him: "Is she...?" 

"No, she's not pregnant." He replied.

"Phew," I said in reassurance, I looked back at Rarity and a big frown grew on her face.

What is up with my girlfriend?

"Can we see her?" I asked. 

"Yes. She is awake." The doctor confirmed.

I walked into Rainbow's room, and once our eyes met, she immediately looked away.

"How are you?" I asked.

"Are you asking about my pride or my broken heart?" She asked.

"Both. Any. Just! Ugh!" I took a deep breath and continued, "How are you?"

"Fine. But my heart hurts more..." She said.

"My rejection hurt a lot. Didn't it?" I asked her.

"Of course. I've liked you for a long time Applejack... And to just figure out you don't feel the same way... Of course, it breaks your heart." She said in pain, "But if you're actually really happy with Rarity... I guess... I don't mind..." She continued.

"Darling? A moment." Rarity called from outside the room.

"Please excuse me..." I told Rainbow.

She looked away from me and gestured her hand to tell me to talk to Rarity.

I walked over to my girlfriend and asked her: "What's wrong?" 

"I'm gonna let you choose." She said.

"Huh?" I asked in confusion.

"Rainbow or Me?" She asked.

"Huh?" I asked again.

"Just choose. Do you love Rainbow Dash, or me?" She asked.

"I don't love Rainbow Dash," I told her.

"Don't lie AJ, I see how you look at her. So I'm giving you one last time to choose." She said sternly.

Ok, I guess I do like her. And Rainbow's loyal for life... But, she is a bit arrogant and well impulsive... 

Rarity's just beautiful, kind, caring, and all good words you can describe! 

But I still don't know who to choose!

I always see how hurt Rainbow is... But, I'm sure Rarity would end up that way too if I break up with her... Rainbow's strong, as Rarity said... I'm sure she'll be fine.

"I choose you," I told Rarity.

"Wise decision." She said.

I looked down at the floor, wondering if I made the right choice or not. 

I went back into Rainbow's hospital room and I told her: "Rarity asked me to choose-" 

"Between me and her. I know." She finished my sentence, "And I'm fine. I knew this would happen."

"I'm sorry." I apologized.

"There's nothing to apologize about." She told me while she started to look away from me. 

I could see little drops of tears forming in her eyes and when I was about to put my hand on her for comfort, she said: "I said. I'M FINE." 

"Ok. Umm. See you at school?" I asked her to see if she'd come back to school.

"Yeah, I guess." She replied.

I just wanted to say... Most of my chapters will be about 300-1000 words. Which is a big range. I know! And I'm truly sorry.
