Wavelength POV.
Music drummed in my audios as I worked on my English essay. Rain puttered against my window as I focused. 1 2 3 bass 4 5 violin 6 7 8 beat drop. 1 2 3 build up 4 5 peak 6 7 8 fade away.
"WAVELENGTH!" Ultra Magness's voice boomed through the villa.
I groan and let my helm hit the desk. Turning down my music I put my schoolwork away.
"Yes sir?" I walk out into his stupid and fancy balcony.
It's just him and I? Why can't he be satisfied with the simple house Optimus has? I know that is still fairly large but still! The biggest room is the primes library and I'm fairly confident that's the only reason he bought it.
"Why was your trash so loud?"
"Because you weren't here." I lazily lean against the railing.
"And if I was?" Ultra Magness glared.
"It'd be louder." I snort.
"Bring me the speaker." Magness commanded.
I frown. "Why? Because if I do I'm going to rig it so you can't sleep."
"NOW."
I roll my optics and walk back to my room. Yeah no. I lock my door and continue my essay.
"WAVELENGTH." Magness still fought for my response.
"Busy!" I call back and put on headphones.
Magness was more than likely going to ignore me for the evening. Good! I didn't care for him anyways. A few hours rolled by and I found myself downloading another song to experiment with. And I was hungry. Hm. Pausing my song I stand up and head downstairs. Most lights were off by now. A few empty cubes were in the sink. Might as well clean one. Warm water ran over my digits as I waited. A little bit of soap and the cube was clean.
"Hm. You're back out." Magness scoffed.
"Yep." I pop the "p".
"You had a list of chores."
"Consisting of your paperwork."
"Children aid their parents."
"Ah! So I'm a child when it comes to work, and a burden went you don't want me around?" I spat.
"Exactly." Magness sneered leaning down to me.
"Ah yes. You had a sparkling so you could deal with your traumas of war and anguish." I roll my optics.
"I had a mistake."
"You HAD a living thinking being."
"Who doesn't know when he should shut up or obey."
"And you don't know the first thing about respect."
"Respect is earned."
"Respect is a two-way street old mech."
"Respect is an obligation."
"Respect is a courtesy for those who deserve it!"
"Unlike brats like you!"
"Or a wrench like you!"
Magness backhanded slammed me before I could duck away. I stumble back into the counter and hold my cheek.
"OLD BAS-"
I'm slapped harder and my vision blurs. Magness grabbed my helm fin and yanked me back up.
"5 am. Otherwise I'm leaving you in the streets." He growled.
"Like last week?" I huff.
Magness just shoved me to the floor and stomped away. I rub my swelling cheek and grab and cooling packet. Energon in servo, I walk back up to my room. Selfish bastard... I chugged the Energon and power off my soundboard for the night. My cheek still burned. Whatever. I power off for the night and enter recharge. In the morning I walk back downstairs and into Magness's personal gym.
"I'm here rust bag."
"Shut it and focus." He hissed.
"Grab the bo staff. I won't have you becoming stupid."
"Let me guess? Like my sire?"
"Exactly like your sire."
"The one you let a one-night stand happen with?" I jab back. "The one you CHOSE to frag? The one you decided to have fun with while he was on the run?"
"ENOUGH. The terms were clear." He glared down at me.
"Freedom or Autobot prisoner. I doubt a night with you was something he liked!"
"WAVELENGTH THAT IS ENOUGH!" Magness slammed down his weapon.
The Forge of Solus Prime. The long dead forge but still.
"You will be quiet, you will watch, and you will copy. Is that understood?"
"Yeah. Crystal clear."
Magness went through his routine as I watched and copied. Tense silence fell between us.
"Are we finished?" I ask after a long while.
"Yes." Magness put the forge away.
I watch him leave, wanting to melt the metal off his back. Putting up the bo staff I glance at the forge. It was useless now, unless you sold it to a museum. I scoff. Prideful fool. What's so wrong with me? Or my Sire? Other than being a con apparently. But the early revolutions were fought over equality. That is until Megatron went wayward. Way wayward. Not even wayward. Straight up downhill and into the pit of villainy. But Optimus said even HE found redemption. I mean it took being possessed by Unicron and nearly killing Cybertron a second time but still. It worked. But what did I do?! Other than being sparked, or skipping class. Which both seemed to be a crime! I never chose this! I never chose to look like my sire. I never chose for him to be a con? I never chose to be a mistake, or a burden, or a dead weight, or a reminder of something in the past. If Magness was such a respected mech, why can't I see why?
Why do I have to be pulled into my Carrier's sin....? Why can't I be allowed to just- I just want to leave. Be free from him. A melt that stupid forge. Or beat him with it. He deserves that. I shake my helm and retreat back to my room. Pausing I look out my window and grin.
:Solar! You free?: I send a text.
:I am, what's up?: My friend responded after a few minutes.
:I need out of the house right now.:
:Another fight?:
:Yep! See ya in 30!:
I lock my door again and push open the window. Jump here, jump there, stick the landing and I am once again amazing! Chuckling to myself I run down the driveway and join the busy streets.
