Chapter IV

I walked out the building to my job. I got inside my car. I drove to my mothers house.

I walked in I went in the kitchen. Hey ma I gave her a hug. Hey sugga. I sat down at the island. So Shay told me about her meeting her father. Yeah he finally came around and I'm not that spiteful and not let her see him. I agree she nodded but do he think its that easy he missed 2 years of her life. I know mama I'm just gone handle the situation in the best way for me and my daughter but me and Shay got to go now see you tomorrow. I got up grabbed my keys and purse. Shay come on we have to go.

I pulled up to Cold Stone. Me and Shay went to go order. What you want baby girl I want Vanilla she semi yelled. May I have 1 scoop of Vanilla with sprinkles and 2 scoops of Cookie Dough ice cream would that be it? Ye- I was about to say yes but I was interrupted by a deep voice no others but Trey. Can you also add another 2 scoops of Cookie Dough he said to the cashier. Daddyy Shay yelled and ran to him. Would that be it? Yes thank you. That would be $9.76 I paid. We waited for our ice cream and took a seat at one of the booths.

"Sooo I was thinking I should take you and Shay to my family BBQ this weekend" trey said

"Uh I don't know about that I'm trying to take it slow, its gone be too many new people she would have to meet she just met you give her a break"

"Everybody is dying to meet her. I told everybody about her. She can handle it. You can bring Niyah and Tiara I'm pretty sure they would know half of everybody in there"

"That's true"

Me and Niyah been bestfriends since Freshman year of highschool. Everybody I know she know she also used to mess with one of Trey bestfriends Daniel. But they had to end that both if them was crazy as hell. My sister always went everywhere with me she know everybody too.

"Fine" I finally gave in.

"You know I'm currently staying there till I find my own place so you can come aboung 2-3 if you want to be there before the guest.

I nodded my head "your moms place?"

"Yes she been dying to see you and Shay she haven't seen you in forever though"

"I know I miss mama Jones"

Is your ice cream good ladybug? He asked Shay. Yes! He laugh she had ice cream all over her face and shirt. I'll go get some napkins. I got up from the booth and went to get some napkins I came back to the table. Dang girl you still thick as hell Trey stated. I laughed I'm aware was all I said back. We sat there and talked about random things about an hour passed and Shay was getting sleepy. Alright its time to go baby girl getting sleepy. I grabbed my purse and slid out the booth. Trey picked up Shay and we walked to my car. Dangg you riding like this! He said as he admired my car. Yeah you know how I'm coming I unlocked the doors. I watched as he put Shay in her car seat. Make she she was strapped in. I love you lady bug see you this weekend he kissed her forehead and closed the car door.

We was standing by each other. I had fun nice seeing you again I turned around on my heels I still had on my work clothes. He pulled me back by his hands on my waist. I was close to his chest. By me having on heels it gave me a lot of height. It was nice seeing you too Yana he said. We was just starring at each other in the eyes. I can't wait till I see you this weekend with that he kissed my forehead. His lips was so soft I felt like I did 2 years ago. The butterflies started coming back when I get close to him. I came out of my thoughts when he lowered his hands to my ass and squezzed it. I pushed him in his chest boy you is not slick I said as I laughed and started to walk away to the driver side of my car. He smiled and laughed and started walking to his car. I started driving off. Shay was knocked out drooling and all. We got home I carried her to her bed and I went to my room, stripped out of my clothes and took a shower. 15 minutes later I got out and lotion my self up but on my undergarments and went to sleep.

Next day I woke up did the same routine as usual. I wore a long fitted dress that came below my knees it was all black I wore my all black heels and I straightened my hair. I took a couple pictures of myself. Mommy you look pretty Shay came into my room and said. Thank you baby girl you look even prettier. Come on let's gone make you something to eat. I made Shay some bacon eggs and waffles. As she ate. I turned on Disney Jr for her to watch as she ate to keep her occupied. I slid on flip flops I can't drive with heels on. Another 10 minutes and we was out the door. I turned on the radio Shay was singing all the words to Beyonce 7/11.

I rang the doorbell. Tiara answered. Hey she said hey you look tired. Yeah I went out last night drank entirely too much. You gone learn one day I said. I was about to leave when it hit me oh and Saturday we're going to Trey family BBQ I'll pick you up around 3 ishh. Hoping she would remember.

At work I'm writing this article on Bruce Jenner new look. He looks so different. I was trying to figure out what it is I was trying to say without being offensive. There was a knock on my door. Come in I said. Niyah? What are you doing here
? I came to keep you company I know you bored working with all these boring people I started laughing you a mess.

"Arent you supposed to be at work" I asked her

"Yes but on break, I get on break when I want too"

"Watch that's gone get you fired"

"They know better"

"That reminds me we going over Trey house for a family BBQ Saturday"

"Nooo Daniel gone be there?

"Most likely. Ima cut that nigga balls off not his penis cause the dick is too good"

"You is retarded I want you to act nice"

"No promises cause him and that new chick is out of control"

This girl. "Well I got to get back to work, you go back to your job before they get to looking for your ass"

"Fine. By the way you looking real fine today"

"Thanks boo yo know I get it from you"

"I'm already knowing" with that her conceited ass left.

I got back to trying to write my article. Another knock at my door.

Come in... I'm never gone get this done.

This handsome light skin man came in my room. He had on a business suit a nice hair cut with his curly hair. I got out my seat to greet him. I walked around mt glass desk. Hello I'm Teyana Winfrey nice to meet you, I held my hand out. Qunicy Coleman likewise. He shook my hand. Please have a seat Mr.Coleman I went to sit back down at my desk, I could feel him looking at me. As I sat down so is there anything in particular that I might help you with? I asked.

"Yes I wanted you to write an article about my business.I work in the music industry. I own a studio where famous rappers and singers record there music. Lil Bibby, Drake, Nicki Minaj even Taylor Swift. Anyone you can name. This can benefit me and you Ms. Winfrey. You can get more attention you would need by interviewing my artist and I can get more artist to come to me."

"What's the name of your company Mr. Coleman?"

"Please call me Quincy" he smiled "LakeWood Entertainment"

I started to write this down. "Why did you come to me?"

"I read one of your articles and I like the way you write you get into details you tell the people what they want to hear without saying too much"

"Okay well Quincy, fill out this information sheet for me please"

"Anything for you beautiful"

I blushed. Yana stop you do not date potential clients.

He filled it out. "Great I should be getting into contact with you before you know it"

"Thanks for your time beautiful"

"No thank you"

He got up and left.

Ugh now I'm behind in writing this article I got 2 more hours before is due.
