Story: 1998
At the Rialto Movie Theatre, a lengthy queue of eager moviegoers eagerly awaited the highly anticipated release of "Stab," Hollywood's dramatization of the chilling events that unfolded a year ago in Woodsboro, California.
Amongst the crowd stood Phil Owens and Maureen Evans. Phil's excitement for the movie was palpable, while Maureen expressed her disdain for scary films. "I hate scary movies. I should be studying. I have a Biology assignment due," she grumbled.
"But baby, did I mention that these tickets were free?" Phil reminded her, attempting to sway her with the allure of a cost-free cinematic experience.
Together, they entered the theatre, where each row was occupied by people donning costumes resembling the iconic killer from the film. Laughter and excitement filled the air as patrons enthusiastically embraced the spirit of the occasion. Suddenly, the screen flickered to life, displaying the word "Stab" in bold, attention-grabbing letters.
Halfway through the gripping opening scene, Phil excused himself and made his way to the restroom. Inside, he opted for a stall since the urinals were occupied by individuals wearing masks. As he settled into the confined space, a sense of unease washed over him when he began hearing peculiar sounds emanating from the adjacent stall.
Curiosity getting the better of him, Phil pressed his ear against the partition, attempting to discern the source of the mysterious noises. Suddenly, without warning, a menacing blade pierced through the stall wall, its sharp tip penetrating Phil's ear and finding its mark in his brain. In a desperate attempt to escape, Phil's body convulsed, but ultimately, he succumbed to the floor, lifeless.
As the movie unfolded in the theatre room, Maureen found herself engrossed in the suspenseful narrative. Suddenly, "Phil" reappeared, donning a costume mask, taking Maureen by surprise. Startled, she instinctively clung to him for comfort during the intense opening kill scene.
To her horror, Maureen sensed a sticky sensation on her hands. Before she could comprehend what was happening, the realization struck her, this person, disguised as Phil, was not who they seemed. In a chilling moment, the imposter swiftly plunged a knife into Maureen's abdomen, causing her to gasp in pain.
Desperately attempting to escape, Maureen stumbled towards the exit, each step accompanied by searing agony. However, the relentless killer relentlessly pursued her, relentlessly delivering stab after stab. Finally, Maureen's strength waned, and she collapsed lifelessly on the stage, her life extinguished before the horrified eyes of everyone present. This gruesome act would ignite a chain of events, setting the stage for a new wave of terror.
