Right when you came back home to your apartment, you let out a big sigh.
You couldn't get Miguel out of your head the whole time you hung out with your friends.

If you got a dollar for every time they asked you if you were okay
...you'd have 5 dollars.

The first thing that came to your head was taking a shower, immediately. There was really a need for one, even before going out.

When you got undressed, you looked at yourself in the mirror for some time.
You realized a really faint bruise appearing on your neck...and there were a few mixed feelings about it.

...

As you showered, there was the sound of a door opening. Just for a split second, it made you jump...but who could it be really?

"Hey, Miguel." you spoke quite suddenly, not taking a look towards the door.
There was no response for a moment, most likely from the little shock.
"...Hey." the man replied quietly.

You got out off the shower as you wiped yourself off. There was no point in hidding your body since Miguel saw it a few hours ago.
Out of respect though, Miguel didn't stare at you or anything like that, which you appreciated.

"So..you knew I was gonna be h-"
"Duh." you answered, already expecting this question as you dragged your hairbrush through your hair.

Miguel sighed, making the bathroom turn silent again.
The only thing that could be heard was the brush brushing through your hair along with some sniffs.
"Was I obvious that I treated you different?" Miguel's question comes out of the blue.

Setting the brush down, you looked at him. Your eyebrows a little narrowed as you gave the question a thought.
Well, sort of.

Both Hobie and Peter said that he was a bit more gentle around you, but you couldn't see it. Your thought was just him acting like a decent human being.

"Kind of." that was your final answer as you looked at your reflection in the mirror.
With a grunt, Miguel leaned against the wall of the doorframe, clearly thinking about stuff again.
"Hm." Miguel sighed once again "you're different."

You couldn't help but look at him again. Your eyes shining with your mouth slightly open.

"R..rea-"
"We fucked, yes."
He replied quickly.

He wasn't wrong though. Yet again, you didn't know what was going through his mind everytime he saw you.
Maybe he was like that with everybody, minus the sex part...or not?
Of course it's minus that.

"Well, I let us do that because I was..." you gulp "um...horny...and I always found you attractive."
Miguel's eyes stayed glued to you as you spoke.

"I know it's weird to you, but I want you to know that I...truly do love you, really."  he sighed as he let a few of his fingers brush through his hair "I'm going to be honest, you were annoying at the start, bu-"
"Thanks."
"Can you let me finish?" Miguel's voice got louder, but you could tell he wasn't truly mean at you or anything.
It was kind of funny.

"But." he emphasised "The more I saw you...the more I realized who you were and...you're fun."
His words really touched you.
You could tell he was being honest, which just made you turn to him and smile a little.

"I don't want you to think I'm only using you for your body."
You tensed up a little.
"I know what you've been through and I do not want you thinking that I am the sa-"
"Excuse me?" your full attention went to Miguel now.

"...I talked to Peter about you." he started "Since I started to find you fun after I taught you new things, I talked to him. I knew you were close to him...and let's just say that he told me about your previous partner "on accident." "

Your eyes widened as you listened to him. There were so many mixed emotions, both about Peter and Miguel.
"By the way, he kept apologizing to you as if you were there when he told me that." he let out a small chuckle.

You couldn't help but do so too, covering your face in your hands. Now, you didn't feel like beating him up, you knew the ways of Peter B. Parker.

"So...I don't want you feeling like that." he leaned off the door frame as he got a little closer to you "I truly do find you...nice."

He was struggling a little with his words, you could tell.
Yet exactly, you knew what he meant.
"So...you want to make something serious about this?" you ask quietly, removing the hands from your face.

Miguel thought about it for a brief moment as he looked down, then up at you again: "Yeah, pretty much."

Before you knew it, your arms wrapped around the man tightly, your head burried in his chest too. You have longed for such touch in ages.
When Miguel wrapped his arms around you slowly...that was all confirmation you needed.

It was a tight embrace you hadn't felt in a while...from someone like Miguel.
You have felt it by your past partner, but it never felt as real and as honest.

Unconciously, you proceeded to hug him tighter as his hand pat your head gently: "I won't hurt you...and we'll take this slow, okay?"

His voice was soft, almost like a whisper as he spoke. You felt safe in his arms.
You never wanted to move away.

"When...when do you have to go?" his hand rested on your head as you asked.
"Whenever you want me to, chico." He replied in that same soft whisper.

Both of you stayed like that for a few moments, mainly because of you...but Miguel didn't mind a bit.
Instead, he swinged left and right a little for some comfort.

Your mind felt like turning off as you give in to him. Completely. "I got you." his voice was even colder and more quiet now.

Not in a thousand years would you think that you needed a man like Miguel. Someone a little older and more mature than you.

It was like someone who was going to keep you together from not breaking into a million pieces when life wouldn't be perfect.

Just as if you were a fawn looking for someone to keep you close and safe.
Hold you closer.

Someone who was going to take full care of you...and love you who you truly were without judgement.

You were Spider-man, right? You need to know how to get things done and do them on your own?

Well, in some cases, yes.
Just in some cases.
