"Yes. I'm almost there. I'm on the block I'll be there in 2 minutes I promise. " I told my best friend Stacey as I was approaching the restaurant we where eating lunch at.

"That's what you said like 10 minutes ago and I'm getting tired of waiting. The waiter is giving me sympathetic looks. Your making me look like if I got stood up or something."

"Sorry blame the city for having so much traffic."

"There is no traffic cmon Miranda its Thursday at this hour the streets are clear. Did you sleep in again?"

"No..." I said hesitantly.

"Yes you did you liar!" Stacey shouted so loud, I'm sure nearby people heard her through the phone.

"Ok fine I did I'm on my way I'm to the front. Bye." I said as i sped walked to the front of the restaurant.

"Ok then hurry up I need to tell you something Bye." I hung up my phone and put it inside my purse.

I entered the nice restaurant and saw my friend Stacey sitting by herself at a booth looking down at her phone.

"Hey stranger." I said as I sat down and put my purse to the side.

"Hey finally you made it. It took you so long."

"Sorry traffic. "

"Yeah yeah traffic my butt. "

"Cmon I swear there-." I got cut off my the waiter.

"Hi my name is Stewart and I'll be taking care of you guys today. So what can I get you two girls to drink?" The waiter said as he gave me a flirtatious smile and wink. Stewart had an amazing Australian accent.

"Umm I'll have a sprite." Stacey said looking at the menu.

As Stewart wrote down the drink he looked at me with his eyebrows up. "I'll have a raspberry ice tea." I said looking at his beautiful ocean blue eyes.

"Ok I'll be right back with your drinks." Stewart said looking at me one last time as he walked away.

"Ok so Stacey what do you need to tell me that is so important?" My attention drifting to Stewart who had our drinks in hand.

"Ok so here are your drinks. Are you guys ready to order?"

" Yes we'll both have the lunch special thats two sandwiches." Stacey said looking at Stewart. Then he nodded as he wrote down the order and walked away with a final smile.

"So tell me the deeds I'm dying to know."

"Okay remember that guy I told you I was have been dating?" Stacey said with a big grin.

"Yeah Dylan?" I asked while I sipped my drink.

"Yes him I think he's the one he finally said the L word!!"

"Omg Stacey that's awesome ."

" That was good lunch."

"Here is your check. Have a nice day!" Stewart said looking at me one last time.

"Here I'll take it Stacey I owe you." I took the check from her hands and when I saw the receipt it had Stewart's number in it with a message that said 'hey I really liked you. You are very gorgeous. I think your name is Miranda. If  I'm right I would like to meet up sometime. Here is my number. -Stewart' I was shocked from this. After I payed I showed Stacey the receipt.

"Oo looks like somebody has a date." she said nudging me.

"Oh shut up" I said trying to avoid my cheeks from turning red.

As soon as we were out of the restaurant we hugged goodbye and went our separate ways.

As I was heading to my car, Stacey texted me to meet up with her on Friday afternoon to meet her boyfriend, but as I was going to reply I bumped into someone.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry I didn't see you. I was distracted on my phone." The gorgeous blonde boy told me as he helped me up.

(A/N) I know this was long but who cares.
