The door opens, catching the girls' attention. "Um, hello, is this the poetry club?" Miyuki couldn't hold her excitement and whispered loudly, "Oh my gosh, it's the girl!" Reva walks to the front of the room, "Why yes, thank you so much for stopping by!" The girl walks into the classroom, "Thanks, I guess." Miyuki pulls up a seat from one of the desks, "How about you sit down with us so we can get to know you!" The girl sits down in the chair, "So what's your name?" "Roxanne Miller." "Well, I'm Reva Reed, the founder and president of the club, and this is Miyuki Caster, the vice president." "Cool, so what do you guys do here?" "Well, we do poems and stuff." "Oh, that's cool. So how do I join? Is there any paperwork I need to sign?" Miyuki chuckles, "Hehe, no silly, you just want to join." "Oh, okay then, I'll join the club." Reva and Miyuki were shocked. "Wait, are you serious?" "Yeah, I mean I need a place to open up. That's what my friend told me at least." Reva smiles, "Great!" Miyuki jumps for joy, "Yes! I'm so glad you're joining us, Roxanne." Roxanne nervously giggles then she sinks into her chair with a sigh. "So, um, do you guys want me to help or something?" Reva speaks up, "Well, one of Miyuki's ideas was baking cupcakes and-" Roxanne's eyes light up when Reva mentions the word "baking." "Heh, lucky for you, I have some baking experience." Reva and Miyuki were a bit surprised. Miyuki was the first to speak up then Reva, "That's awesome! So, Roxanne, how long have you been baking, and what got you into it?" Roxanne shrugs, "It's a long story, and I'd rather not say." Reva giggles, "Hehe, well alright, you don't have to explain if you don't want to." Roxanne mutters, "Well, okay then." Reva speaks up again, "Anyways, let's get back on track. So, Roxanne, if you don't mind me asking, what made you consider joining the poetry club?" Roxanne takes a minute to think, then responds, "Well, I like writing, and when I saw a flyer next to me on a bench and then texted my friend about it, she told me that I should check it out." Reva smiled, "Well, then again, we are so glad you stopped by." For the rest of the club meeting, the three girls chit-chat about ideas for the club until the club meeting comes to an end. Everyone packs up their things, and the three of them depart from the classroom and exit the school. Miyuki waves before heading home. She starts walking up to her street. As soon as she got to her house, she goes up to her porch, grabs her keys, and unlocks the door. As soon as she goes into her house, she shuts and locks the door behind her. She then goes upstairs to her room and flops onto her bed. "Ugh, what a day." Miyuki takes out her phone from her pocket and looks at her contacts. "Maybe I should call Sayori. I mean, I have nothing better to do anyway." Miyuki looks in her contacts for Sayori's name and calls it. The phone rings, and then a voice answers, "Hey Miyuki, I wasn't sure if you were gonna call, and even if you didn't, I was going to call anyway." Miyuki giggles, "Hehe, well, of course, you're my best friend alongside Naomi." "Speaking of Naomi, how is she, by the way?" Miyuki smiles, "She's okay. Naomi always worries about me." Sayori stays silent for a moment, then replies, "But most of all, how are you holding up?" The question catches Miyuki off guard, "Huh, what do you mean?" Sayori sighs, "Miyuki, you know what I'm talking about." Miyuki takes a minute to think. Her vision became blurry, her head was ringing, tears streamed down her cheeks, with her expression like a deer in headlights. "Miyuki, are you okay?" Sayori's voice snaps Miyuki out of her train of thought. "Oh, yeah, sorry, I just spaced out. Miyuki faked giggles, but I'm doing okay, I promise." Sayori sighed, "Well, anyways, let's talk about something else and take your mind off of it. Would that make you feel better?" "Yeah, I don't like talking about that. Well, at least not yet. It's not the right time." The two of them sit in silence, and then Sayori speaks up, "Well, I found out my school was transferring students, and we found out it was me and my club. Our board didn't tell us what school yet, but they will tell us tomorrow, or I may be kept it a surprise." Miyuki giggles, "Oh, okay!" Miyuki looks at the time on her phone and realizes it was midnight. Then looks out her window at the dark starry sky, "Oh, I didn't know it was so late already." Sayori giggles, "Hehe, yeah, I guess time goes by fast when you're having fun." Miyuki smiles, "Yeah, I forgot to mention something. We got a new club member today." Sayori beams with excitement, "That's awesome, Miyuki!" Miyuki smiles to herself, "Hehe, yeah, but anyways, I have to go. I need to write a poem for tomorrow's club meeting and catch up on some homework as well. I'll talk to you after club." Sayori giggles, "Alright, goodnight, Miyuki." "Night, Sayori." Miyuki hangs up the phone with Sayori and puts her phone on her nightstand. She goes to her desk and begins to write her poem and then do her homework. After that, she puts her poem on her nightstand and then lays on her bed in exhaustion. "Well, I finished everything I needed to do." Miyuki sits up on her bed and grabs the poem from the nightstand.11
