The night sky was calm and beautiful during the winter, a small cry came from the castle as it rang throughout the kingdom. A mother holding her baby girl singing a lullaby to calm the baby down, the little girl cooed looking up at her mother with shiny blue eyes. The queen held her daughter close as she continued to sing the lullaby, the baby looked around as her mother walked out onto the balcony overlooking the kingdom. She cooed once again reaching her little arms up to the moon that shined brightly down on them, her mother smiled softly and rocked her baby gently till she fell asleep.

"My darling Lunacrest, I love you so very much." She said as she kissed the top of her head.
"And so do I." Said a strong male voice.
Two strong arms wrapped around them and hugged them gently, the king kissed his sleeping daughter's head then kissed his wife. He looked tired but never missed a moment to spend it with his beloved family. He let out a soft sigh as he held them close, laying his head on top of the queen's shoulder gently.

"What's wrong my dear?" She asked, looking at him from the side of her eyes.
"Let's go inside my dear." He said as he led her back into the nursery.
He took his daughter into his arms and kissed her head before laying her in the wooden crib, she cooed in her sleep before settling down on the soft bed. He turned to his wife and took her into his arms.
"I fear we might be going into a war." He said in a rather calm way.
"Why do you say that my dear." The queen asked, looking him in the eyes.

He let out a heavy sigh as he looked around the room, he waved his hand as shimmering magic spread around them keeping anyone from outside the room from listening.
"My brother Jax thinks that the kingdom should belong to him, I am trying my best to calm things down but he is very persistent." He explained
"I will be here for you darling, we work together as a team and we will get through this." She spoke softly to him.
"My love, I feel like something bad will happen." He said, looking at his sleeping daughter.

He pulled out a pure  silver necklace and gently put it around his daughter's neck, the queen watched him and raised an eyebrow.
"To protect her, it is made out of Pure silver. As long as she has it on she will be hidden from him." He explained.
The queen kissed his cheek gently and smiled.
"It's beautiful my love, come let's go and rest for the night. We will talk about this more in the morning." She replied, taking her husband's hand in hers.

He nodded softly as they walked out of the room letting their daughter sleep, the king locked the door to the nursery and had a guard posted there just Incase. As the night went on it was still and quiet, but Jax had other plans as soldiers snuck into the castle that night.
"Go and find my niece now, I will deal with my Brother." He said to his head guard.
"Yes your majesty." The guard replied before leaving.

As Jax took the secret tunnels throughout the castle he made his way too his brother's room, with sword in hand he entered. There asleep in bed was the queen, but the king was nowhere to be seen. The door to the secret tunnel closed shut as the king stood there, sword in hand as he looked at his younger brother shaking his head.
"Why Brother?" He asked in a questioning tone.
"You do not deserve the crown! I do!" Jax said in a fit of rage.
He raised his sword and lunged at the king, but he was too slow as his brother moved out of the way.
"It doesn't have too be like this! Please brother!" The king cried out.

Jax was about to strike at him again when a dagger was suddenly placed at the base of his throat, he turned his head slightly to see the queen and he smirked.
"Lower your sword Jax, we don't want to kill you." She said
A chuckle escaped from Jax's lips as he lowered his sword, she slowly lowered her dagger but Jax was quick he turned around and thrusted his sword into her.

"Estela!" The king yelled out.
He pushed his brother aside as he caught his queen in his arms holding her close, he had tears in his eyes as he watched her take her last breath.
"You monster!" He yelled, turning to Jax with his sword in hand.
He lunged at his brother with anger and sadness in his blue eyes, he managed too land a hit on Jax's arm making him jump back.

"How dare you come in here! How dare you kill her!" The king yelled out in rage.
He lunged at Jax again but he kicked his brother back.
"Oh? Maybe I should go and visit my dear niece instead." He taunted.

The kings eyes widened as he attacked his brother yet again.
"You stay away from my daughter! Stay away from Lunacre....."
Jax's sword had pierced his brothers chest, the king fell too his knees as he looked at Jax. With a wicked smile on his face Jax pushed him over and watched the light leave his eyes.

In Lunacrest's room

Lunacrest cried loudly hearing the sounds of Soldiers fighting right outside her door, a figure stood with a black cloak around the room before picking her up.
"Sshh little one, I'll keep you safe." Said a female voice.
There was shouting and loud banging on the door, the young woman looked around her blood red eyes scanning the room. Taking the server's tunnel she ran out of the nursery, she could smell blood all around her as well as smoke from a fire.
"What to do, what to do!" She cried out holding the princess close to her.
She finally decided to do what was best and teleport the princess too a safe place.

In the village between the borders

The young woman looked around seeing where she had landed, she could see the castle fire even though it was many miles away. Lunacrest cried again not really knowing what was happening, the young woman holding her quickly calmed the baby down. She walked through the village in the dead of night, her hood falling down revealing her long white hair. She made her way too the orphanage and kissed the now sleeping princess's head, she quickly wrote a small note saying the girl's name and a few other things before laying her in a basket.

She knocked on the door and ran off hiding in the shadows, soon the door opened and a man saw the basket. He picked up the sleeping baby inside and the note, he looked around before closing the door behind him.
"You'll be safe here princess, till you are old enough to get back your kingdom. May the Fates bless you." And with that the young woman teleported away.
