Slumber party in the daycare

   *authors note- hello <3 this will be a short fluffy oneshot, the characters included will be Sun (i think thats their name although it could be Sunrise/Sundrop 😭) Vanessa and a brief mention of Moon. I will try to keep this as gender neutral as possible, I hope you enjoy*

  You were working the night shift as a security guard in the Pizza Plex.. you and Vanessa were the only human guards. You hadnt quite bonded with Vanessa as much as you'd hoped to but she seemed like a very serious individual when it came to her job so it was partly understandable that she hadnt really tried speaking with you yet.. the best you'd gotten out of her so far was an awkward smile in passing on the job.

Tonight you were in charge of guarding the daycare. You hadnt actually been in the daycare yet.. it seemed very loud and bustling during the day but eerily quiet at night. Through boredom you decided that you'd go and explore inside.. it couldnt hurt to stray slightly from routine right?

You gazed down at the ominous slide that had "slide into fun!" written on it in bold letters. The paint on the slide was slightly chipped and pealing. Still... the child inside you denied going the "adult" way, through the main doors, and decided on going down the slide.

You plunged head first into a ball pit that didnt appear to have been cleaned in several years..

Much to your surprise, before you could inspect the ball pit further you were being carried several feet in the air by what appeared to be a sun animatronic.
His hands were warm and padded and he had a huge smile on his face.. this must be the daycare attendent.

"HELLO! HELLO! Oh new friend, its so good to meet you"

The animatronic beamed a smile at you, his sun rays spinning wildly as he spoke.

"Hello" you smiled politely.. slightly scared of being carried at such a height but still trying to be nice.

"Whats your name friend? Im Sun, though you can call me Sunny if you want!" he spoke excitedly, eventually placing you back onto the padded floor.

"I'm Y/n" you smiled at the bouncing animatronic.

"OOOOH! What a nice name! Hey you wanna have a slumber party?" He shuffled from one foot to the other.. seemingly unable to keep still.

"Oh I'm not sure, i should really be doing my job"

The animatronic slumped down onto the padded floor.. even though he had an unremovable smile, you could tell he was pouting.

"Please, pleasepleaseplease" he clasped his hands together in a pleading fashion, giving you the biggest set of animatronic puppy eyes he could muster.

God this was like watching a flower wilt in real time.

You sighed in defeat, unable to deny his pleads.
"I suppose I am on the night shift.. i could stay here and-"

Before you had finished speaking, the animatronic bounced back up onto his feet.
"YEY! Oh you're bestest new friend ever!"

You could'nt help but smile at his childlike manner.. how was this guy so adorable?

Within a few minutes Sun had left and returned with pillows, blankets, crayons, fizzy faz and a box full of board games.

You and Sun sat down onto one of the many beanbag chairs scattered across the daycare. The animatronic still beaming down at you happily as he wrapped himself up in a fluffy blanket half the size of himself. Still he seemed evidently satisfied.

"Oh do you wanna paint something together Y/n?" He questioned caringly.

"Sure! What did you wanna paint?" You ask happliy.

"Oh I know!" He pointed his index finger up toward the cealing in an exaggerated fashion. He then grabbed a piece of sketching paper and began painting.. failing to answer your question but you didnt mind.

You look over at his painting, it looks as if it were made by a six year old but that was oddly endearing to you. You begin to paint your own piece of artwork, peacefully listening to the animatronic sun next to you hum excitedly.

You look over again a few moments later, soon realising that what he had painted was a painting of you. Some of the paint had dribbled down the page and there were a few smudged areas. Next to the sketch of you were the words "bestest new friend" written in black paint.

The Sun animatronic turned towards you in a childlike fashion, showing you the painting excitedly.

"Whatdya think friend? I made it just for you" He bounced in the beanbag chair expectantly.

A huge smile appears on your face at the sweet gesture.

"I love it so much Sunny"

The animatronic giggles happily, fidgiting in place.

"You think so?!" He beams giddily.

You nod happily in response, gently taking the still soggy painting and putting it somewhere safe to dry.

"You can keep it friend" he claps excitedly.

The remainder of the evening was spent playing board games, twister which the animatronic was surprisingly good at, watching movies and talking.

You had both decided on watching a movie together. Sun was still wrapped comfortably in his now paint stained fluffy blanket, he had glitter glue on his pants and a singular googley eye stuck to his face.  You giggle inwardly at the sight, relaxing fully into your own blanket.

At some point during the night you must have fallen asleep. You awoke with your head laying comfortably on Sun's shoulder, his arm was wrapped around you in a protective manner. He was still fascinated by the movie playing out in front of you both. The luminecent lights in the daycare blindingly bright, though you knew that you had to keep them on if you wanted more time with Sun.
You were perfectly aware of his counterpart Moon, who you still needed to meet. You wanted to meet him of course.. but right now, you were content watching movies with Sun.
