Karen's Clark-Sheard's POV
——————

As I rolled over in my bed, I expected to feel another body lying next to me. When my hand hit the cold sheets, my head popped up from the pillow. Sitting up, I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and focused them on the vacant area. Where was my husband? Everything around me was still so, I knew he couldn't be in this house. Sighing, I swung my feet to the side of the bed and stood up, tying my robe closed. Grabbing my eye glasses from my night stand, I put them at the bridge of my nose, picking up my phone. Searching for Drew's contact, I clicked it and called him. He always does this and I am beyond sick of it. It never hurt to, at least, notify me, first. I stood at the side of my bed with my arms folded and eyebrows knitted, waiting for him to pick up. Then, he has the nerve to not be near is phone?  I hung up the call and called again, this time, it went straight to voicemail.

Taking the phone from my ear, my mouth dropped as I looked at it. "Oh, he wants to do that? Two can, most definitely, play that game," I called him, one more time, before I decided to give up and move on.

Tossing my phone in the middle of the bed, I walked into my closet to set out an outfit for today. I wasn't staying in this big house, alone. Finding a decent outfit, I draped it across my arm, looking down at the different kinds of shoes I had. Settling on a pair of my slip in Dolce &' Gabbana shoes, I walked out of my closet and put my outfit in the middle of my bed, putting my shoes down on the floor. Adding a few of my accessories, I walked into my bathroom. Turning on the light, Drew's side of the sink was a total mess so, he had to be in a big rush, whenever he left. Shaking my head, I just went over to the shower, turning the water on. When it was to my liking, I took off my robe and night clothes, hanging my robe up on the door, throwing my clothes in the hamper. Stepping inside of my shower, I closed the shower door and stepped until the water, completely.

Stepping out of my shower, I wrapped my towel around myself and walked over to my sink to begin my morning routine. I removed my retainer from out of my mouth and began to brush my teeth. Looking up at myself, I watched as I brushed my teeth, thoroughly, before brushing my tongue. Rinsing my mouth out with mouthwash, I went ahead and got started on my face. It didn't take too much, because I had naturally clear skin. I thank Mattie Moss for that blessing. When I was finished with all of that, I turned off the light in the bathroom and walked back into my room. I stood at the side of the bed and dried my body off, turning on the TV to catch the news. I got my body oil from off of my night stand and began to rub it all over my body, tuning into the weather. It was going to be a partly cloudy day and I was excited for it. When I was done oiling my body, I slipped on my undergarments before sliding on my jeans and lime green tank top. Just as I grabbed my colorful blazer, my phone began to ring, almost, scaring me.

Picking it up, I expected it to be Drew calling me back, but it was Tamela. Even though it wasn't my husband, I smiled, answering it. "Hey, Tammy.."

"Hey, sweetness. What are you up to, today?" She asks. I could hear a bunch of movement in the background and it sounded like she was getting dressed, too.

"I haven't really gotten that far, yet. I just know that I am getting out of the house. I woke up and Drew was gone. Again," I say, rolling my eyes. Spraying deodorant under my arms, I slipped on my blazer.

I could hear her mumble something under her breath before she began speaking, again. "That's a shame. Did you try calling him?"

"Yes. Three times and they all went to voicemail," I say, sitting on the bed, sliding socks onto my feet.

"Well, I was planning on going to the mall and stop by my mother's house. Would you like to join me?" She asks and I say here, blushing.

Her simplest gestures made me smile. "I'd love to. I haven't spoken to your mom in a while. How is she?"
