These letters, discovered in Father Antoine's office, provided crucial evidence for Léa. They clearly showed that Father Antoine was a comforting figure to the victims, a man who had listened to their stories and supported them in their darkest moments. The words of gratitude and admiration expressed in these letters seemed genuine and sincere.

Léa decided to confront Father Antoine with this new information. She arranged to meet him in his office in the community centre. Sitting down opposite him, she placed the letters on his desk, observing his reaction carefully. Father Antoine seemed surprised when he saw them, but he didn't seem worried.

"I'm aware of these letters, Inspector Moreau," he admitted calmly. "The victims have found comfort here, and I've always done my best to help them through their ordeal."

Léa, still wary, pressed harder. "But how do you explain the fact that these victims all seem to be linked in some way to the centre?"

Father Anthony sighed and took a deep breath. "It's true that some of the victims have sought help here. However, I never had any suspicions about what happened to them afterwards. I'm a priest, my role is to reach out to those in need, to guide them towards the light."

Léa sensed that Father Antoine was telling the truth, but she couldn't ignore the troubling coincidences. She remembered the links between the victims and the centre, the letters exchanged and Father Antoine's benevolent influence on their lives.

As she rose to leave, Léa gave Father Antoine one last look. "I will continue to investigate, Father. I hope you'll forgive me if the truth ever points in your direction."
