The Queen and the mage
There once was a Queen who challenged every law for it was all written by men, and Melitele knew how much she hated men.
She ruled her kingdom like a cruel soldier, her anger could frighten grown men and went to war whenever she could, but she was still extremely appreciated, as she defended her territory and its customs like the Lioness she was.
But even with such a reputation, some people tried to make her change Cintra's rules, well, one rule in particular : no mages and magic allowed in her kingdom.
Moussack, her loyal druid, was the only exception, he wasn't like mages of Aretuza, who were famous for their short temper and devastating magic. An 'unbearable mix, really' , according to Queen Calanthe. So, it's on a boring rainy day that Moussack announced a visit from Aretuza to the Queen.
"This time, when I chase these fucking mages, they will never fucking come again" she growled.
"I do not doubt it, your Majesty" smiled the druid.
"So, when are they supposed to arrive ?" she asked.
"She will be there tonight, your Majesty".
Calanthe's eyes widened."So it's a woman... Coming alone... This shall be a little more entertaining than the previous visits i've had from Aretuza. You're free to go Moussack, I have to get ready now."
Moussack nodded and left the room.• • •
Night had fallen on the Lioness's kingdom when the mysterious mage finally reached the Queen's throne. She wanted to keep distance between them, so she stared at her own boots, avoiding the visitors' gaze, waiting for her to speak.
"Please accept my apologies for this late arrival, your majesty. My journey was made longer by the fact that magic is forbidden in the whole kingdom" said the mage.
The harshness from her intonation formed a perfect contrast with her melodious voice, which forced the Queen to finally look at her intriguing visitor. Her breath hitched. The mage was the incarnation of perfection, her blue eyes were ice-cold while her rosy lips evoked warmth. Her skin was pale and flawless, and her curves seemed created by a sculptor wishing to represent the sweetest of all sins."Well, you look like you've never needed your body's strengh for anything, this little walk couldn't harm you, mage" answered the Queen, finally breathing again.
"I appreciate your concern for my body, your Majesty" smiled the mage.
Surprise made its way toward Calanthe's face, quickly replaced by a loud laugh. She needed to remain calm : any weakeness the mage would see could make her think she had won the battle."Oh, I'm glad you appreciate it, then. Is that all you wanted to discuss with me ? This small conversation could lead to further demonstrations of your body's health, once we are done with the useless chat" smirked the Queen.
"I didn't know you fucked people without even knowing their name, your Majesty. Moreover, i think you know why the Brotherhood sent me."
This time, the answer was cold, but the dark pupils filled with lust showed, on the contrary, that the mage wasn't as irritated as she pretended."I don't need your name, but i think you know you will need mine. Moreover, i never mentionned fucking, but if you insist, I will gladly take the opportunity - as a present of the brotherhood, of course."
She paused to see the reaction of the mage, who's eyes were now filled with both lust and anger. Calanthe winked, which made her visitor bite her lip from annoyance, or maybe was it excitement?
