Soon Sarah and John b left to go who knows where while kie pope and I all stayed together. We ended up heading over to heywards.

Pope stood at the cashiers stand while kie and I sat near him behind the counter. It was a slow day only a few people coming in every so often.

Eventually we ran out of things to say to each other and a blanket of silence fell over us.

"So.." kie said looking to me
"You and JJ?" She asked as I froze not really knowing what to say

"Yep" is all I responded with.
"Thats new" kie continues as I nodded

"I'm sure he didn't mean anything he said" pope added in getting quick to it

"I don't know he seemed pretty serious" I say sounding sad

"Are kidding this is the same JJ that's been in love with you for years" kie said trying to reassure me

"When your not around your the only thing he talks about" pope added

"He would never do anything to hurt you" kie said as I stayed silent

"He loves you" kie added in making me have butterflies

I mean I knew JJ loved me but I guess it was just a different kind of love that I had though it was. Now it was a girlfriend love instead of a best friend love.

"I just don't understand how he could, say all those thing to me. Like I meant nothing" I said to the two of them

"JJs an ass, he could say anything when he's mad. Not that that's an excuse but he's just stupid JJ" kie said making me feel the smallest bit better.

"I just don't know what to do, or say when I see him" I say to them not sure what advice they were gonna give me

"I guess you'll just have to figure it out when you see him" pope added

"That's helpful" I say sarcastically and starting to laugh a bit.

"Why do I even bother" pope said turning around as kie and I looked at each other and laughed. I started to feel a little bit better.

"We gotta be done before my scholarship interview in the morning" pope said as we rolled up to the chateau.

"Okay well we gotta focus" kie added
"I know it's gonna be fine, we got john b and JJ inside the well and me and Hannah up top. You and Sarah will be outside transporting" pope said going over the plan as we all got out of the car

"Yeah we got this" kie added not stressing as much as pope about the gold

"Uh I got a winch, that tin can hold over like 200, 300 pounds" pope said as we walked to the back of the truck to unload some stuff

"Thanks" kie said making me a bit confused.

"For uh what?" Pope asked as I felt like a major 3rd wheel.

"Stranding us, you know making us make up" kie hard kie say as I put a bit of distance between me and the two of them smirking to myself.

"What makes you think that was me?" Pope asked just as a few strands of lights lit up over our heads. I looked to them in confusion.

"What the hell" I say
"Who the hell is that?" Kie asked as we started walking quickly over to the source.

As we got closer I could see the tree outside of John bs house covered in all different colored Christmas lights.

And right in the center is a hot tub with a shirtless JJ inside popping open a bottle of champagne. My heart sank from anxiety not wanting to see him. But my expression was consumed with confusion at the sight of him.
