Summary

In an alternate universe after losing Anita after battling against a Council Member, despite winning, Jean-Claude is devastated even as his old lover Asher joins him trying to comfort him and ease his pain they both find a young woman who has been beyond traumatized to the point that she was put into a mentally feral state. They both feel drawn to her, which partially is what makes them move to try to help her heal, along with those around them who are willing to help. Including surprising help from Richard Zeeman. And after healing her they learn that it's a good thing they did, because the one who put her in her feral mental state, is or will be a huge threat towards not only her but them and others as well. The question is will they be able to protect themselves and what they are building? Or will they lose what they hold dear and become enslaved to the worst person they didn't know existed?
