𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲’𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩,
On the other side…
It had been a year and a half since she’d been here.
Her father had taken her to London, away from everyone. But eventually, she gathered enough courage to tell him she didn’t like it there. She said she’d be happier living in Ooty.
She had meant her maasi’s house, but he misunderstood and brought her to his own mansion in Ooty. This place was too quiet, too cold, and too isolating. She didn’t like it at all.
Everyone stayed in their rooms, nobody ate together, and now she couldn’t even go outside and run freely as she used to. Her father claimed it was because of his enemies. She felt trapped, desperate to escape.
All she wanted was to run away like her sister Ankita had, eloping with Kaushal. But there was no one to save her. No one loved her enough to steal her away from her controlling father.
Not even her didi. She couldn’t contact anyone. Her phone was constantly monitored by her father’s team. She hated every moment here.
Her father never left her alone for more than two hours. And even though her badi maa, bade papa, and their son lived upstairs, it was as if they inhabited another world. She couldn’t even tell they were there.
“Beta, come here. I need to talk to you…” Her father’s voice rang out, and she sighed in frustration. She hated his presence. Why couldn’t he just go back to London like before? Why had he suddenly decided to care, when she had been perfectly content living with her maasi?
“Natasha darling, come out!”
She let out a frustrated shout, grabbed her bag, and stormed out of her room.
There he stood, but this time, there was a strange man beside him. The man was tall, towering over her petite frame, wearing a mask that obscured most of his face. He had alot of beard unlike Adhik, but his piercing ocean-blue eyes held an intense, unwavering gaze that made her cheeks flush. Lowering her eyes, she noticed his fingers, rough and calloused, adorned with silver rings. His hands looked tough, trained.
