Chapter 9
"They are inseparable," Kaylus said, "it's not fair." Tears started to bubble at the surface. She refuses to let them fall. She wiped them on her tear stained robe. "Apollo was supposed to be mine," Kaylus started to form waterfalls. "Why did she have to show up?" Kaylus had bitterness on her tongue.
The shared quarters she had with Diana were silent. Diana often stayed with her boyfriend, who slept in the knights quarters. The soft sniffles were the only sound in the room. Kaylus felt a familiar feeling. Hatred. Hatred for Mystic, for her parents, for her sister, for her brother, for everyone. She just wanted love, even at the price of a life. A lightbulb in her head went off. What if she got rid of the obstacle? Kaylus started to laugh like a maniac. She turned and picked up her journal. She turned to her favorite page. Specifically, the one with a giant red x on it. "I know exactly what to do." A soft laugh was the only thing that was heard.

After Mystic and Apollo got ready for their date, Apollo dragged Mystic down to the stables. Their two horses were ready. Mystic's horse was a majestic white horse with black patches. The other was Apollo's, which was the same beautiful white horse that carried Mystic to her new home. "Ah, your majesties," the stable boy bowed as he continued, "the horses are ready for your departure." Mystic wondered where they were going. "Thank you. You are dismissed." Apollo said as the stable boy left. Mystic walked up to her horse. She ran her hand up and down the horse's mane. Mystic tried to climb on her horse, but to no avail. "You need help with that princess?" Apollo snickered towards Mystic. Mystic just looked at him. "Watch me, princy." Mystic made herself levitate. She floated onto the horse's back. She looked over at Apollo. "Cheater." Apollo made his way to his horse. He tried to put himself on his horse, but he ended up falling flat on his face. Mystic bursted out in a fit of laughter. Apollo brushed off the dirt on his clothes and jumped back onto his horse. "As your king I command you to never talk about this again." Apollo rode right beside Mystic. "Yes, my king," Mystic said, sarcastically. Apollo leaned over and gave Mystic a peak on her lips. "Let's ride, princess."

Kaylus walked through the halls of the castle, heading towards the front door. She was ready to talk to the people that could help her get revenge

"Are we there yet?" Mystic asked in a groan. They have been riding for about an hour now. "We're almost there princess," Apollo said in a chuckle. Mystic sighed. "We're here." Mystic looked around and it was the field they first met at. Mystic looked at Apollo. "Apollo, what were you doing out here the day you found me?" Apollo chuckled, "actually I'm gonna show you."
Apollo rode onwards. He rode past the field, through a hidden gap in the trees, and they ended up somewhere beautiful. There was a lake in the middle of the clearing. There were deer around the edge of the pond, and there was a little hut built on the perimeter of the pond. There was a cluster of alluring roses and dandelions along the side of the hut. "This is where I was going," Apollo said as he got off of his horse. "This is magnificent," Mystic said as she got off her horse. The walked over towards the hut and sat down as Apollo got all of the picnic supplies he had out of the pouch on the horse. Apollo tied the horses to one of the posts on the hut.
"Apollo, you didn't have to plan all of this. We are on the verge of war for crying out loud. You should be planning attacks, not spending time with me." Mystic started to set out all of the snacks Apollo had brought with them. "Mystic, I will always choose you over my kingdom." Apollo grabbed Mystic's chin and kissed her. He really did love her and would do anything for her. "Now, let's eat!"
That's all for this chapter! Also I love this story and although there is only like 40 reads that is still way more than I ever thought I would get. Thank you and stay tuned for the next chapter.
