Stairway to Heaven (GirlxGirl)

Chapter Three

     Finally, it's time for lunch. I slam my locker closed and walk down the hallway avoiding everyone and pushing my way through the crowd. Most people just stand in the middle of the hallway blocking the way, like just move to the side. I haven't seen Heaven since she walked off this morning, but I did enjoy the fact that me and Rose had another class together. She's cute, she listens to all different genres of music and she's the hugest Marvel nerd I've ever come across who isn't my brother. 

     If you could have heard our debate on why Captain America is a total piece of shit, I promise you would have thought we were talking about how the world was ending and how serious we were (My hate for Captain America is Justified to fight me). Walking into the lunchroom I at once spotted Heaven and to my absolute disgust, she had Samuel plastered next to her. Walking up to them I try my best to keep the grimace off of my face.

"Yooo Heaven you ready to go," I asked her, we've been taking our lunch off campus for over a year now.

"Yeah, I was just about to ask if Sam could tag along" She smiles and gestures to Samuel who is also smiling with his hand in hers. What the fuck is truly going on there, we've only been back at school for a day, and they are acting like they've been dating for years. I see a flash of red hair walking past me and suddenly an idea hits me, I'm not about to suffer through their love fest by myself.

"Yeah, sure whatever just let me do something quick," I say as I walk over to Rose standing in the lunch line.

"Hey Rose" she turns around and smiles at me.

"Hey saint, what's up?' she asks.

"I was wondering if you wanted to come get lunch with me and my friend instead" I point to Heaven and Samuel waiting over by the lunchroom door still holding each other's hands.

"Oh, the love birds" she laughs, and my eyes widen.

"What do you mean by that" I asked.

"I have those two in my science class, We were all assigned to work in a group but those two could hardly keep their eyes off each other to focus," she says and continues. "I honestly thought they were a couple"

"They aren't dating, no way in hell," I say, and I can tell from the way she looks up at me strangely that maybe I should have just shut up.

"I mean it's just that you know, Heavens my best friend so she would have told me if she started dating some guy, right?" I ask the question more to myself than her. She would tell me, right if she was dating that damn tool?

"Well sure but about that lunch thing sure, I'd rather eat anything than this slop" She points to the strange-looking pile of greyish meat on the lunch tray. Is it even legal for them to serve us this?

"Great let's go then" I walk towards Heaven and Samuel. Heaven has that strange look on her face again, but it's gone within a second. However, the look that pisses me off more is Samuel trailing his beady eyes down Rose's frame with a disgusting satisfied smirk on his face. Rose shifts closer to me and zips her jacket up further showing me that she also caught that fucker leering at her. I clench my fist at my sides as we approach them and fight to keep myself from swinging my fist towards his face.

"You two ready" I ask.

"Yeah, who's this? You going to introduce us to your friend" Heavens says. I swear I could detect a hint of jealousy in her tone.

"Heaven, Samuel, this is my new friend Rose" I smile.

"Hey," Heaven says.

"What's up I'm Sam" Samuel says showing off his blinding bleached teeth again.
