Cale meets the Crossmans

The (un)fortunate meeting

It was a fine morning, birds chirping outside, flowers blooming, lively sounds of people coming from outside the palace and the training grounds. It's a perfect day for our esteemed hero Cale Henituse to spread his old bones in the bed and laze around all day. And that is what he SHOULD be doing if not for the mf-

Okay, let's start from the beginning...

'How did I even end up in this place?'

Cale lampooned as he sipped tea (which was not lemon tea for the first time in 3 years) and watched Alberu, Zed Crossman and his entire family do so as well.

He was just going to leave some documents in his hyung's office, steal some cookies and leave right away. It just had to be at that exact moment when Hellion Crossman, the rumored favored 3rd prince, cane inside Alberu's office and declare that his and her royal majesties were inviting them to a tea party.

How did Celestia Crossman know that he was here? Cale had absolutely no idea as he came here with teleportation scroll and not with great and might Raon Miru.

And he would continue to not care except that he couldn't refuse a royal (like he doesn't defy Alberu all the time) and had to go and sip tea with fake smile and fake people he despised because of what his hyung has been through because of them.

"Hyung do I have to go?"

" hmm... not necessarily,  I can deal with her snakeness myself"

Cale smiled at that. His hyung never skipped the opportunity to ridicule that woman and he was here for it.

' I seriously will just go home. My presence is not truly necessary there. His highness will just make up an excuse for me'

As Cale was about to say that-

"but I wouldn't mind the company"

Sigh... 'even I am not such a trash to leave my brother alone in this situation and let him meet people who have tried to kill him most of his life alone'

" fine, let's go. But i am expecting a reward. Maybe a chocolate cake from that famous bakery you often visit"

Alberu perked up at that.

' i just said it in passing. I really didn't think he would come. Not that I am complaining. It's always nice to have Cale around'

" sure, I will buy you five cakes. 3 for children and two for you since you are being so generous today young master silver shield."

" your highness, such flattery. How dare I even think of taking such bribery from our kingdom's rising sun. I am most certainly-"

"okay, that's enough now"

Well that's basically how Cale got himself in this situation.

"As I was saying, young master Cale, I would like to get closer to you as well so that the bond between the Crossmans and the Henituses stays as strong as ever"

Declared Cesilia Crossman for the 100th time since he has been here but now with much direct way.

' damn Alberu and his sad face. I shouldn't have come here'
