SAME NIGHT 𝟪:𝟤𝟢 𝗉𝗆
As if he was the sun in the darkest universe, his presence fired up the dim lit room. At least that's what it seemed like to the woman who it mattered most to.
She smiled hard seeing he didn't come empty handed to which she didn't anticipate. He carried a bouquet of a variety of pink roses, white, and pink lilies in his left hand while his right hand was occupied with two large pink and black gift bags.
She watched as he paused by the first pool table, his eyes searching the room for her. And she wanted to call out to him and announce her location, but his big blue eyes located her by the second pool table the moment the thought crossed her mind.
A small smile graced his face, but she could tell that he was holding the bigger one back in means to restrain his excitement to see her.
She had the thought to imitate his actions by reflex, but she couldn't help her love as she met him halfway and invited herself into his warm embrace, wrapping her arms around his waist while he caught her by the thighs, holding her up on his waist while attempting to the other items as well.
Fortunately, Daytona and Aaliyah came over to help him out as they took the items from his hold to sit on their booked section's table.
"This isn't the time to be disappear on me now, my baby. Especially when this is when we need each other the most," He whispered into her ear while caressing her waist as she held him close with the intentions of never letting go.
She almost did it once and now she'll never make the mistake of nearly stepping towards that decision again.
"And I should've known better than to believe you when you said that you were okay when I know how you get when overwhelmed," He went on to express to her, clearly referring to all of the times she found it hard to make a decision on her own and both of their behalf's.
Zurichi only melted into his arms as she attentively listened to him speak. She had no intentions to do no more than apologize and reside by his side for the rest of the night, tomorrow, and so on.
Letting her down to her feet, she held on to his side as she turned a bit to look at her familiar peers that were still occupied with pool, not paying her and Kaiden any mind.
"Kai, you know Aaliyah and especially Kaiyah," She introduced and they turned to look at them. Kaiyah shooting him a devious wave to which he only straight faced her with a slight wave.
"Then this is my friends Destin and Yasin whom I attend college with," She went on to introduce the two women who arrived a little time before him.
"And I'm Daytona, but you can call me Day," His sister light-heartedly introduced herself; her strong country accent playing a big part in her sarcastic act.
