The mysterious party girl

The Shocking Revelation

The following day, Liam texted peter and said that he forgot to get his jacket from the girl.

that jacket was sentimental to him, for it was from his mother who left to work overseas.

as peter wasn't able to sleep that last night thinking about the mysterious girl, the two agreed to look for the girl.

Going back to the spot where they dropped off the girl, the two were shocked to discover that there were no houses visible within that area. Just miles and miles of empty fields.

"Didn't she say their house was far back from the road?" peter asked liam.

Liam just shrugged.

So they just both plinged into the grassy field. A few meters feom the road, they stumbled upon a small house.

curious as they always were, the two went up to the silent house and knocked on the door.

"Hello? anybody home?" said peter.

"there seems to be no one in here" said liam.

then an old woman with grizzled hair opened the door.

"What can i do for you dear children?" she asjed in the vernacular.

"good morning granny, were looking for a girl who lives in this area." peter said to her.

"Oh im sorry my child, but as you can see, i live here alone." said the old lady.

"But i am most certain that the girl lives in this area. We dropped her off here last night." peter said.

"Are you really sure about that? there isn't any other house here for blocks" she said to them.

"well uhm, she is about five six foot, she had long wavy hair, she is Fair skinned and pretty. She always wore this black party dress." peter described.

With those words, the old lady looked stricken.

"This isn't funny. Why are tou doing this? did someone put you up to this!? please don't make fun me my sons. I'm old. Please give me some peace of mind." she said while clutching her chest.

The two boys looked at each other, confused. They really had no idea what the old lady was babbling about.

seeing the looked of confusion on both their faces, the old woman beckoned to them.

" please come inside, let me show you something" said the old lady as she led them inside the house.

She led them to a photo on the mantle. It was a picture of a very pretty young girl.

"Look closely, is she the one you saw last night?" she asked.

"Yes granny" peter and liam agreed peering closely at the picture.

"That's haylie, my grand daughter. My only grand daughter. She died from an accident a year ago. She was about to go downtown to meet some friends but she never made it back home. She was hit and run by a wreckless driver"

The old lady sobbed with tears streaming down her eyes.

Liam and peter were shocked and could feel their hairs standing on end.

"We're very sorry granny" the boys stammered, at a loss about what to do.

After that, they left the house and thanked the old lady.
