To restart life

Chapter 3 - Taking Dean Home

It was now early the next morning and Sam was now on his way to see Dean because Sam had received a phone call at about 7:45 saying that Dean had woke up and is asking for him and wouldn't stop crying until he was there. As soon as Sam had reached the hospital he made a b-line towards dean's room. As he was approaching his room he could hear deans crying which immediately made him pick up his pace. When he walked into the room Dean reached out his and called out dada which had surprised Sam a bit cause it made him realise that Dean had forgotten who his actual father was which would have been hard to explain to Dean so Sam just went along with it.

About an hour later Sam was just chilling with Dean watching some tv which had made him realise with the fact that Dean was permanently regressed to a younger age he was into kid shows and had learned that some of his favourite shows were scooby doo and pingu. When a nurse came in asked if she could talk to Sam outside which cause deans eyes to fill up with tears which Sam quickly noticed and calmed down before he could start crying and told him it was going to be quick. The nurse had told Sam that Dean was now fit and well enough to go home which Sam had let a sigh of relief to hear that he can finally get dean out of the hospital but the nurse had told him that he has prescribed dean with some pain relief medication due to the fact that even though his arm was in a cast he would still get pains for a while.

After the conversation with the nurse Sam had returned back in the room and told Dean that he could go home. Even though Dean hadn't said anything he could tell by the look on his face that he was happy to be going back home. So after telling Dean that news he had packed up all of dean's belongings into his bag and slung it over his shoulder. He then carefully helped Dean out of his bed and started walking out of the room but that came to an end when Dean had started whining about walking and held his arms up for Sam to hold him in which he complied to as he felt guilty not to knowing that it's the first time Dean had got up of the bed for 4 days.

As soon as they had reached the car sam had brought he had buckled dean in the passenger seat and headed to the driver's seat and had started driving away from the hospital and towards the pharmacy. Sam had explained to Dean that before they were able to go home he had to go to the pharmacy to pick up the prescription for Deans medication which had earned a whine from Dean. They soon reached the pharmacy and got their prescription. On the way back home Dean had fell asleep in the car so it was a quiet drive home for Sam. He had decided that for the rest of the day him and Dean were going to chill at home and then he would take dean shopping for his stuff tomorrow.

About 10 minutes later they had arrived home and went inside. Sam checked the time and had seen that it was almost lunchtime so he turned the tv on and put scooby doo on for dean and asked him if he wanted mac and cheese or scrambled egg in which Dean had said Mac and cheese. So he had made mac and cheese for lunch and helped dean eat his as he had struggled a bit. After a bit Sam had noticed that Dean was starting to drift off so he picked him up and took him to his bedroom and tucked him in to bed leaving the door partially open so they're was still a bit of light in the room. So Sam had sat down and began to watch a movie on Netflix in the living room.

About an hour and a half later Sam started to hear crying and heard dean yell dada . So he rushed into dean's room to see what had happened and at first he couldn't figure out what had happened but when he picked Dean up to help calm down he noticed that Deans crotch and bed was wet and realised he had an accident. So he bounced Dean up and down while walking to the bathroom to run him a bath . While waiting about 5 minutes for the bath to run he rocked Dean up and down to calm him down with his sobs finally dying down into sniffles. After the bath had finished running Sam had undressed dean picked him up and place him down into the bath. He than washed dean with a flannel before quickly leaving to grab some pyjamas for dean. He then returned to the bathroom where he proceeded to lift dean out of the bath dried him with a fluffy towel and changed him into some pyjamas.

After cleaning dean up he than carried dean out to the living room put him on the sofa and put on the lion king to watch. Sam then grabbed a blanket for dean and gave it him and then went to dean's room and cleaned up his bed and put on some fresh sheets and put the dirty sheets in the washing machine and joined Dean on the sofa to watch the film. As soon as Sam had sat on the sofa Dean moved onto his lap and snuggled into him with his blanket and then continued to watch the film.

After the film Sam asked Dean what he wanted for dinner but dean only shrugged so he asked if he wanted sausages and mash in which Dean had nodded. So Sam made the dinner for them and helped Dean eat the sausages and mash while also eating his own dinner. Afterwards sam had done the dishes and asked Dean what he wanted to do and Dean said cuddle with him so before they did Sam had put the sheets on a quick dry in the dryer and than put them away he then went over to Dean picked him up and grabbed dean's blanket before heading to his bed to cuddle. After a while Dean fell asleep and Sam had written a list for what he needs to grab from the shops tomorrow with Dean and then went to sleep.
