In the beginning, when the Earth formed, five elements bloomed to create Nature, the living force of the world. Nature created the wind's wonderful waves in the sky. The water in the beautiful big blue oceans. The fire in the burning ball just outside the earth, the Sun. The ice in the great glaciers and tundras that covers the North and South pole. The soil with the big green lands lined with magnificent trees. It was wonderful.

However, Nature didn't know it had another element in its power.
This element was made of something special, something different, something powerful.
You know it as emotion, but what nature had was physical. It was light, but it was packed with emotions. The color of each light corresponded to a different emotion. It was the physical state of emotion.
Nature wasn't sure what to do with it, this new sixth spirit was so strange to her. But after learning to control it she used that power to make something new.
She assumed that if the water made the giant ocean and fire made up the sun, that emotion would make something incredible too.
After concentrating all of its power. Nature turned towards her work to find a creature. Breathing, seeing, but most importantly feeling. She was the first intelligent living person.
Today we know her as the first guardian of the world. The peacekeeper of the Earth.
This creature was called Mother Nature. She had the power to control all the elements, much like Nature but less powerful.
Nature trained Mother Nature to understand her power, but they never showed their face. They never gave Mother Nature a name or any sort of care. They just trained her.
Over time, Mother Nature got lonely. So one day when Nature left her on her own. She used her power to have someone to talk to. She made more life, with a mind of their own and feelings to share.
She made all the animals in your A-Z animal book and in your mythology book. But most importantly she created two superpower species; Elves and Humans.
Mother Nature, no longer lonely, walked among them. She kept her power a secret in fear of being treated differently.
Nature observed from afar, watching their prodigy do things Nature didn't know were possible. They didn't intervene, they decided to leave Mother Nature to her own and see how she kept going.

The world was still young and its people were even younger.
Humans were creative species. They found art in everything and started creating beautiful things like clothes, painting, music, all the arts you can name.
Elves were incredibly intelligent, they could use their minds for telekinesis.
They wanted to understand the world so they learned math and science to keep evolving the world.
Other species started to add on their own small details to the world; gnomes added their knowledge on plants and trees creating huge and beautiful gardens. Goblins learn to defend themselves from predators and in turn learn to cook the food they hunted into delicious meals.
This moment where everyone was discovering and sharing the wonders of Earth was the most peaceful place in history. No one fought and everyone was equal.
However, all good things must end, as the world seems to be too small to be shared.
The power-hunger minds of the Elves and the greedy souls of the Humans wanted the world for themselves.
A war started brewing and violence took over the Earth, millions of innocent lives were lost.
Each species had their own strengths; Elves were very persuasive as they made alliances with the goblins and the gnomes that still live to this day. Their intelligence worked for war strategy and weapon making.
Humans' creative perspectives to look at things allowed them to take down elven cities. They came up with new original battle plans, and stole weapons from the elves.
The war was going towards massive self destruction, and Mother Nature didn't know how to stop it. She never expected greed, and anger to be that powerful. She blamed herself, and she was determined to fix it.
She went to find Nature again, apologizing for leaving her training. Nature forgave her, as they too were concerned for the world's safety.
So they combined their powers and made a new species. One that could save life on Earth. A species that was not quite Human or Elvin.
Legends say Mother Nature took the purest objects of the elements to make them. The rays of the sun, the waves of the ocean, the breeze of the wind, the core of an icicle, the strength of tree roots, and the love both Humans and Elves were capable of.
These species were made of the spirit of these creatures, and were therefore named Spirits. Spirits had the creativity of humans and the intelligence of elves, but they still had hope. Spirits also had something no elf or human had, they had magic.
Each and every spirit was given a power which they would learn to control over their lifetime.
However, Mother Nature chose five specific spirits to control the elements. She made a spirit for water naming it the 1st spirit, a spirit for soil as the 2nd spirit, one for ice, wind, and fire being the 3rd,4rth, and 5th spirits respectively and a 6th spirit for emotion. Together they made the Elemental Spirits (ES), and they were destined to stop the war.
At one of the biggest battles, that was estimated to wipe the remaining life left on the planet, the ES walked in and stopped the violence Once, guiding civilians to safety and neutralizing the military. Once there was peace, they got the elves and humans to agree on a territory for each species, including spirits. As bitter as the elves and humans were, they both decided that living apart from each other was the best option. There was no more war and everyone was relieved.
After the end of the war, Mother Nature decided to hide her existence for the safety of the world, fearing if anyone knew the power she had, it would result in another war. Therefore, she made herself known only in spirit's legends and folklore. Some legends even claimed to be written by herself, others have claimed to have had some sort of interviews with her.
The only  legend on Mother Nature's current whereabouts states that she is currently living somewhere in the deepest undiscovered place of the world.
Nature, proud of her for taking this choice, vowed to become a secret only found in legends instead. They decided to keep training Mother Nature, if another crisis were to show up again. This time though, they showed Mother Nature some love, so she wouldn't feel so lonely.
The world was ready to start another peaceful moment. However, the tensions between  humans, elves and spirits grew as everyone learned more about the spirits.
Humans and Elves started to fear and envy the spirit’s magic and they decided to work together to hunt them down. It was the only time they had ever worked together. They took over the spirits territory and split it in half for each of them.
The spirits that managed to leave their territory fled to different parts of the world hiding their identity and passing as human or elves.
After conquering the spirit lands, humans and elves ended their alliance and went back to their own territories.
On their own they continued to try to eliminate the spirits.
If a spirit was found in their territories, they had two choices depending on how useful that spirit power was to the nation. Whichever place they were found at. If their power wasn't useful, they would get deported or exiled and have to find home somewhere else. This was especially difficult because the whole world wanted spirits gone.
If their power was useful, they would be sent to centers where they are tortured to act like an elf or a human  or get trained as a military weapon.
If they put up any sort of fight they would be killed.
Over time, more and more spirits started disappearing, so the Elemental Spirits of that generation decided to do something about it. They took a handful of other spirits and found an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It was empty, and very well hidden.
After using their powers on it, the island was a living paradise with five different ecosystems divided by magic. Tundra, Jungle Forest, Evergreen Forest, Tropical, and Grasslands. They called it Nimue, which is translated to the isle of the found, in the ancient language of the spirits.
The creation of the island led many spirits to a safe haven, away from the danger of elves and humans. But the location of the island had to be kept secret. If any elf or human found them it would result in chaos. So Spirit organizations formed to lead spirits safely and secretly into the island.
After the innovation of Nimue, the elemental spirits decided to make more secret civilisations, therefore they used magic to make a spirit dimension. They weren't really different dimensions, they were just placed out of the eye of humans and elves.
An empty grass field in Canada, a human nation, is actually the entrance to Spirit Canada. Only spirits can see the spirit dimensions and only spirits and their family can come in.
After a lot of building and magic, every spirit was either hiding their identity and looking for safe places to call home or they were already in a safe spirit city, living a happy life. It wasn't the perfect solution but it saved many spirits' lives.
After many years, Elves and Humans simultaneously agreed to banish any knowledge about spirits. They decided  the world was better off without them. They burned books and punished those who spread rumors on them. They were sometimes killed when necessary.
So the world forgot about their existence. However, the spirit centers still exist, as some legends were still kept and the military took care of the spirit programs in their nation. There are still-
“Humans and elves who know about our existence and are hunting us down, blah blah blah” a  spirit boy said, reciting the words of the book exactly. “I already read this one, pick another”
“If you already read this one, why did you make me read half of it already?” his little sister replied, annoyed. “Face it, you’ve read every book in this library”
“Uhh… no I haven’t”  he snapped back and picked a random book off the shelf and opened it, then closed it, realizing he’d already read it.
The girl laughed and grabbed his hands to pull him up. “ Come on, let's go home, I'm so sick of reading”
“Fine,” the boy said, getting up. He checked the time, realizing how late it was.
“Race you there” she exclaimed suddenly and shot off into the dark.
When they got home, breathless, their father just laughed and they ate their meals, arguing about who won their race, unaware of what was coming for them…
