THIRD PERSON POV

2:30 pm

today was juliet's second day at the jail. she had just checked in and was walking to alex's cell.

"so why do you have me just visiting him?" she asked officer clarke looking up at him as they got into the elevator.

"well no one comes to visit him so i thought it would be nice and we can just count that as your volunteer hours" clarke said as the two stepped out of the elevator.

she still got catcalled today and asked if she was here for different people but she just ignored it.

once she reached alex's cell alex got up and once the cell was open he got up and officer clarke put handcuffs around him and walked him to the questioning room where the two would be meeting today.

alex had a black hoodie over the top of his uniform.

"hey juli" he said smiling at her and she returned the smile.

"hi alex" she said back as they continued walking and finally reached the questioning room. they took off alex's handcuffs and he sat down across from juliet.

"how come you aren't scared of me?"

"cause you aren't that scary" she answered blankly.

"plus you promised me you wouldn't hurt me" juliet added.

"you trust me?" he asked in shock.

"yeah, i have no reason not to" she said and shrugged.

juliet reached for his hand making him flinch but this time he didn't pull away.

"is this okay?" she asked interlocking their fingers so now they were holding hands.

"yes" he said looking at their hands.

"why are your hands so cold?" he asked lightly laughing.

"its freezing in here" she said as she slipped her free hand between her thighs to keep it warm.

"here" alex said getting up and taking off his hoodie and then giving it to juliet.

she slipped the hoodie on and it was big on her but she didn't mind.

"you can keep it" he added and she smiled.

"thank you" she said as he returned the smile.

"juli, can i ask you something?" he asked and she nodded.

"do you have a boyfriend?" he asked.

"no, i killed my boyfriend and ate him" she joked making alex laugh which made her happy.

"but seriously, do you?" he asked.

"no, what about you?" she asked.

"no i do not have a boyfriend" alex said making her then laugh again.

"do you have a girlfriend?" she asked.

"i did before i came here but she'd never wanna be with a person like me after what happened, in fact i don't think anyone would want to be with me after what happened" he said looking down.

"why's that?" she said getting him to open up a little more.

"because i'm a bad person" he said and shrugged at the same time.

"no you aren't" juli said looking at him in the eyes.

"you don't know what i did so you can't judge if i'm a bad person or not" he said looking around the room.

"why won't you just tell me what you did?" she asked him being genuine and showing that she actually cares.

"i feel like if i tell you, you'll leave and never come back" he said and she shook her head.

"i wouldn't do that" she said and now he shook his head.

"you just don't need to know right now" he said then pulling away his hand from her as he got upset.

"okay i'm sorry for asking" she said looking down.

"it's fine, you're just curious i get it." he said reassuring her.

"alright, session is over" officer clarke said in the microphone outside the room. he walked in putting alex in handcuffs and she followed behind them.

"bye juli i'll see you tomorrow" he said once they reached his cell he got in and officer clarke locked it.

"bye alex" she said and then walked away from the cell and went back downstairs to sign out.
