(pretty short chapter because why not)

Layla's POV

I sat up in my hospital bed, my head hurt like a bitch, I had a broken rib, and one of the doctors said I had torn ligaments in both of my arms. But that certainly wasn't as bad as Violet.

Broken ankles and parts of her hands, a severe head injury and the doctor said she definitely wouldn't be leaving the hospital any time soon, with the head injury and everything.

Deku, Todoroki and Smarty Pants were all in a different room, apparently having teenage boys and girls sharing the same room is a no no, so we're in a room beside them all.
I groaned and started to stand up and have a walk, I wasn't supposed to, but I had better things to do and sit around in a hospital bed.

I took a glance at Violet who was sleeping in her bed, then I walked over into the boy's room. I pushed the door open to find the three of them talking with eachother but stop when I walk in.

Ida smiles at me, "Hello Layla, it's amazing to know you are well. How is Violet?" He asked the last part concerned, but i just shrugged and crossed my arms.

"The doctors say she's in a deep coma, but I know she'll be right." Ida nodded and I immediately turned to Deku, to see him fidgeting with his hands from the 'tension'. "Deku," He looked up at me with a guilty and sorry expression.

"Layla, I'm sorry for snapping like that I just-" I cut him off with a chuckle and walked up to him slapping his back.

"I honestly didn't know you were able to be that stern. I mean, maybe you aren't as soft as you seem to be." He smiled but his cheeks were bright red, in my mind I couldn't help but desperately want to punch his stupid face for worrying about me, but I knew not to because he was doing what he was told to do.

Ida sighed in pain and we all looked over to him, he was rubbing his hand that was wrapped in a bandage, Deku also rubbed his hand, seeming to be deep in thought.

"I think I might be cursed." We all looked at Todoroki and he had a very serious expression on his face. Deku opened his mouth to ask why, but Todoroki kept talking, "I mean, everytime I've fought someone, or with someone, their hands get hurt... Am I cursed to always hurt peoples hands?" I burst out laughing as Ida and Deku tried to tell him that wasn't the case.

Then suddenly the door to the room opened, revealing Gran Torino, a police officer who was a dog and some other fish looking hero, sorry, human but wearing a hero outfit that kind of looked like a fish.

I don't remember what the police dog man said exactly, but he explained something along the lines of, we would go to prison because we didn't have permission to use our quirks and we broke the law. Also we engaged in a fight without a hero around and without a hero licence. But honestly the whole conversation went right over my head.

That was until Todoroki stood up and started walking toward the chief of police with a furious expression, "Don't get up! You know what happens when we start getting up!" I say and stand up as well, the other two following in suit, but to stop Todoroki more than join in in wanting to attack the chief of police.

"But," He started again, "Since there wasn't any photos or evidence of you all fighting the hero killer, and we managed to detain the hero killer, you can all choose from one of two options." He gestured for all of us to sit back down so he could explain the options we had.

"You can either, let people know about what actually happened and you all get credit for capturing the hero killer, but you go to jail for a few years. Or we say that Endeavour saved you all and captured the hero killer and you don't get any credit, but you don't go to jail and only get off with a warning. The choice is yours." After he finished his explaining I put my hand up to ask a question, he turned to me and nodded.

I put my hand down and started talking, "Do we have to decide right this second? I mean one of us is currently in a coma and that rest of us are pretty injured-" Before I could finish, the boys had already said they wanted the second option.

Take no credit and give it all to the flaming trash can of a hero.

Coming here could not get any worse, I mean it definitely could but I ignored that fact and just threw my hands in the air defeated.

"Yea guys, that sounds like giving a racoon the credit of donating a million dollars to a children's hospital."

"Excuse me?" Someone started before I shut them off.

"Don't worry about it!" I said quite loudly and left the room.
