"Okay is this everything " my grandpa asked me
" yessir thanks pawpaw" Sarai smiled and hugged her grandad
The two had just moved Sarai into her college dorm room
" okay well babygirl I have to go now you be safe ya hear me " her grandpa Charles spoke with his thick southern accent
It had just been Charles & Sarai since she was about 7. Sarai's mom had passed away when she was 3 in an car accident.
Which left Sarai to her grandmother Samantha & grandfather until Samantha passed away from cancer
" I'm gonna miss you pawpaw" Sarai she's a tear
"I'm gonna miss you too Sarai " Charles fought back his tears it was going to be so lonely back in alabama without her
" well I'm only 4 hours away " she laughed
The two hugged one more time before Charles exited it out the dorm and back onto the bus that the two had caught down to the dorms
Sarai let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in looking around the small dorm
She didn't have enough money to decorate her side of the dorm so she just had a white comforter set with a picture of her and her mom hanging up and a small rug
She wasn't complaining, she was just happy to be in this space.
Sarai laid on her bed fixing to take a nap due to her not being able to sleep on the loud bus
Just as she got comfortable a family of 3 came in she jumped up
" oh I'm sorry i would've knocked but I didn't know you were here yet " she guessed her roomate spoke
" your fine , I'm Sarai " Sarai got out of bed and smiled
" I'm khia and this is my mom kassidy & my brother kamryn but we call him black " khia spoke
" your so pretty " kassidy spoke
" thank you so are you" Sarai said smiling
" well I got somewhere to be in an hour " black spoke
