Chapter 1

On a dark and stormy night, there was a house named Casita, and in Casita, Bruno, and Camillo Madrigal were getting a snack and chatting when suddenly they heard a rustle behind them. The boys gasped and whipped around but they saw nothing. "Who's there!" shouted Bruno. Quietness. "What was that, Tio?" Camillo said, worried. "It was probably just one of my rats. Let's just go back to our food." They went back to their food when all of a sudden they heard a laugh behind them. They spun around again and based on the laughter the thing was encircling them. The boys went back to back, ready to fight when suddenly something flung out of the darkness and headed for Camillo. "No!" Bruno shouted as he pushed Camillo out of the way. A pink rubbery hand grabbed Bruno and pulled him away. "Tio!" Camillo yelled as he tried to save him. Bruno was gone. Camillo shivered in fear. Then Camillo felt a hand grab him by his leg. Camilo instantly looked down and saw... a furry blue hand with a yellow glove? The hand pulled on Camillo's leg without notice, causing him to fall. Camillo clawed at the ground trying to escape with no prevail. Once he was in the dark he found out that two furry arms were wrapped around the shapeshifter and were suffocating him. He tried to fight back but he failed. He got knocked unconscious. The guys were lying on the floor when Bruno groaned and sat up. Looking around he realized that he was no longer at Casita. Then he looked around for Camillo. Bruno shook Camillo awake, and as he and Camillo looked around, and saw that they were in a small office with a faded blue monster with a yellow speech bubble that says "Welcome!". The floor had blue, white, and yellow tiles. To the left, there was a door with a keypad with colors on it. "Looks like we need a code for this door, Camillo, look around and try to find the code so we can get out of here" said Bruno. The two looked around when Camillo suddenly yelled "Found it! The duo uses the code and opens the door. "Hey Tio, look at these weird things!" shouted Camillo. "I don't think we should mess with that" Bruno said worriedly. "Oh come on Tio Bruno, don't be such a coward." he said while holding a GrabPack. "I am not a coward" "Then help me put it on!" "Ugh fine.". After the two put on the strange packs they went to a big room and were greeted with a terrifying statue of a toy named Huggy Wuggy. "Well that's terrifying", said Bruno. On the left of the figure, there was a door with a GrabPack sensor. Bruno looked at the hand and aimed it at the sensor and right when the hand hit the sensors the power cut off. "What happened?". "Looks like we have to go restore the power," Bruno said. "Come on". But as the pair went back to the big room, they realized that Huggy was gone. The two exchanged nervous glances. The two headed down to the warehouse and found four power cells, restored the power, activated the crane, and made a second hand for the GrabPack. Then they made a Cat-bee toy and placed the toy in the scanner. "You ready to get out of here?" asked Bruno as the scanner scanned the toy. "So ready, Tio" Camillo said as the door opened. "Let's go!" the pair had said as they stepped forward. But at the same time, Huggy appeared at the door. He was standing 18 feet tall and fur all covered in blood. "Tio..." "RUN!!" Bruno shouted as Huggy ran after them. They ran around the room when Bruno saw a vent. "Run to the vent!!" he shouted as the two scrambled into the vent. "Don't worry, Huggy can't get us now" he said. All of a sudden Huggy appeared right behind them. "I guess I was wrong!". The pair turned and ran. "Ya think Tio!?!". Bruno glared at his nephew as Huggy appeared in front of them. The boys yelped and ran in the other direction. They soon saw an exit from the vents but as Bruno tried to close the vent door, Huggy slashed at the two and cut the boys but they had finally gotten the door closed but Huggy was banging on the door. "What do we do Tio?" Camillo asks terrified. Bruno looks around and sees a box. "What if when Huggy comes in and when he gets to where that box is, we will use the GrabPacks to pull down the box on him?" "Let's do it". The boys pulled with all their might, and just as Huggy broke through the door, and lunged at them, the box fell right on Huggy's head. As Huggy fell to the floor, Bruno and Camillo heard a creak below them. "Uh oh!" they said as the bridge broke underneath them. The two landed with a groan. "Camillo, are you okay?" Bruno asked. "Yeah, I'm fine.". Then they heard a thud beside them, Huggy had fallen right beside them. The boys yelped and moved back. But at that moment, Huggy slowly slid over the railings and fell to his death, hitting pipe, after pipe, after pipe, and disappeared into the darkness. "Well... he's dead. Come on Tio, let's get out of here ." Camillo said as he walked off. Bruno was about to leave too when he caught a glimpse of something on one of the pipes that Huggy had hit. "Blood?" he wondered. "Tío come on!" Camillo called. "Coming!". As they walked along the metal gratings, Bruno's mind wandered, "Why would a toy bleed?" he asked himself. He was so deep in thought that he almost crashed into his nephew. "Why did we stop?" he asked. "There's a black VHS tape on the floor." Camillo said. "And I found a Black Vhs player." The pair exchanged curious glances as they played the tape. It had something called The Prototype. "It looks like a hand," said Camillo as it finished. They kept walking when they saw a door with a poppy painted around it, and on the ceiling, there were webs with scary toys strangled in it. "Well that's not suspicious at all." Bruno said sarcastically. Camillo pulled his tio's arm, "Come on Tio Bruno!" Camilo said. "I don't think that's a good idea..." Bruno hesitated. "Come on, what could go wrong?"asked Camillo. "A lot." Bruno said. The shapeshifter rolled his eyes "Come on." They entered the door and went down some stairs when they came to a room with red and black lights that looked like the flower they saw on the previous door. Walking around the room, they saw in the middle of the room was a glass case with a pretty doll in the middle. She was a petite doll with chalk-white skin, freckles and rosy cheeks, with red, curly hair tied into double pigtails, held together with a pair of powder blue ribbons. Her dress was a large, flouncy, powder blue gown with long frilly sleeves adorned with numerous bows, frills, and bustles. "Poppy Playtime?" Camillo read. The seer shifted uncomfortably. "I don't like how that name sounds." "Really, tío? It's just a doll." He said as he reached for the glass door. "What are you doing Camillo?" Asked Bruno. "I want a closer look at her", Camillo said as he reached for the handle. "Camillo, wait!" Bruno said as he tried to stop Camillo. Too late. The door flung open, knocking the boys out, and as the light flickers, Poppy's eyes opened and they heard a soft voice say "You opened my case..."
