In the quiet city of Verdon, nestled between rolling hills and a winding river, life flowed like the steady current of time. The townsfolk bustled about their daily routines, oblivious to the extraordinary hidden beneath the surface of the mundane.

Ketsu, an unassuming figure in the bustling streets, was one such resident of Verdon. With a mop of chestnut hair and kind, hazel eyes, they appeared to be just like any other young adult striving to make a modest living. Yet, beneath the surface of their ordinary existence, a gift lay dormant—an unparalleled talent for healing.

Ketsu had always known they were different. In their childhood, they would tend to wounded animals with a touch, miraculously mending broken bones and soothing injuries. As they grew older, this innate ability became apparent when they apprenticed at the local apothecary, mixing potions and salves with a finesse that left even the most experienced healers in awe.

But Ketsu was content with their role as an apprentice, satisfied with the prospect of a simple life. The true extent of their potential remained veiled, waiting for a catalyst to awaken it.

Then, one fateful evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and Verdon's lanterns began to cast their warm, flickering light on cobblestone streets, the sky above the town burst into a brilliant, unnatural radiance. A collective gasp swept through the city as the heavens themselves seemed to tremble.

Ketsu had just closed up the apothecary shop, the scent of herbs and elixirs lingering on their clothes. Curiosity tugged at their heart as they followed the mesmerizing glow to the town square, where a crowd had gathered, equally entranced by the celestial spectacle.

In the center of the square, a swirling vortex of light danced and pulsed, casting shifting patterns across the buildings. It was an awe-inspiring sight, yet it filled the onlookers with an unsettling sense of wonder.

And then came the voice, resonating from the heart of the vortex, ethereal and commanding. "I have summoned you, chosen one," it intoned, addressing someone among the crowd. "You are needed in the world of Aeloria, a realm on the precipice of darkness."

Ketsu's heart quickened as they realized the voice was addressing them directly. They turned to the bewildered faces around them, searching for answers, but found none.

"I am Kyrastra, guardian of Aeloria," the voice continued. "In your world, you have unlocked a rare and potent gift—the power of healing. Your abilities have drawn you here to aid us in our time of need."

Aeloria. The name resonated within Ketsu, as if it were a fragment of a long-forgotten dream. But they had no time to comprehend the magnitude of the situation. Before they could react, a surge of energy from the vortex engulfed them, lifting them off their feet.

As Ketsu tumbled through the fabric of space and time, their last thought was of the life they left behind in Verdon—the ordinary life they had known, and the extraordinary destiny that awaited them in the world of Aeloria.
