I think the Calisthenians heard that we were preparing for another war with them, so they also got prepared. And within one week, they were at the border of Calisthenes and Sosthenes with their fighter jets and other war aircrafts.
We had to rush our preparations to go and meet them there, maybe they also prepared for an invasion because their fighter jets and war aircrafts were more than could be counted. My uncle was in his own war aircraft, and he flew near my own customised war aircraft in the sky. Our war aircrafts, when they flew into the sky was like a small swarm of aircrafts when compared to their mighty swarm of war aircrafts.
I was afraid, my hope was in God, they charged at us with the approach of an attacking cobra, and I commanded the Sosthenian army to do the same.
I was the leader of my warfront, and I communicated with my army through a used radio-holographic transmission as a means of communication for the Sosthenian army.
The battle was tough! Some of the Sosthenian army's aircraft (possibly a few) had already gone down during the war, and the president of Calisthenes was the leader of the opposing army during this war, what could I do to win?
The president of Calisthenes was in the warfront, but while an aircraft was pursuing me (I was trying to avoid both the missile and the pursuer), then I remembered the backflip I did at home, all of a sudden! An idea popped up in my mind, I stopped flying in mid-air and almost allowed my aircraft to crash-land, then I suddenly restarted the aircraft before it crashed and then made a sharp recoil into the sky, that way I was able to dodge the missile, fired another missile to destroy it and go back into the war. I decided to instruct the same for our soldiers.
“All soldiers under my command! Switch off your planes, allow them to nearly crash-land, quickly take a sharp recoil into the sky, fire some missiles and fly in their direction.”
At first, they did not obey until I and my uncle obeyed the instruction I gave, we followed the fired missiles side by side, but there was a catch! We must fly deep into the air as the missiles are about to hit the Calisthenian army.
This strategy made it seem like we wanted to commit a suicidal attack, whereas it was a trap that was meant to destroy their planes and jets, only the president seemed to have seen through our suicidal trap and escaped, but only he could escape the trap because his organised army had already charged towards us before a part of the president’s aircraft detached from his aircraft and flew away with him from what I observed.
At colliding point, I gave a prompt order, “Detach!”
I should have added ‘from your missiles', but glory to God! They followed my orders and… actions too!
The missiles hit the enemy-jets and destroyed them while we flew into the air and rained down more explosives on them, that way we destroyed most of their war aircrafts (if not all), because some soldiers probably escaped from our trap or attack. Putting the numbers of casualties aside, the fact was… we won the war!
The people of Sosthenes shouted shouts of victory when they saw our war aircrafts return to Sosthenes alive and well, they praised my uncle for the victory. When we arrived at the presidential building of Sosthenes, which I like to call the palace of Sosthenes or the Palace of the Western Sun, we both got down from our war aircrafts and climbed the stage in the palace building, facing the crowd, I was well armored, I was putting on a good technological armor, so was my uncle and Mr. Parker was standing by my side. I was wearing an iron mask (it is a combination of a techno-face shield and helmet) that protected my head and showed only my eyes, so they probably did not know I was a lady. The crowd hushed when my uncle signaled them to stop, and then he raised up my hand, this caused the crowd to shout for joy.
“Deborah rules!”, My uncle interjected excitedly as they shouted for joy.
And his mention of my name caused the whole place to be somehow silent, I think they murmured or mumbled some words among themselves, I removed my iron mask, they all looked at me with searching eyes, Mr. Parker suddenly shouted, “She is the Devourer! Devourer rules! “
Then the soldiers took it up, “Deborah rules! Devourer rules!” They shouted excitedly.
Then the crowd gladly followed the soldiers, they also hailed me, my name rang in the air that evening, I felt very happy, though I am not sure I like the name, “Devourer”.
The moment I saw the beautiful sunset, I went into my room, still happy about the turnout of events, I remembered God, and then I knelt near my bed, thanking God. I thanked God for the victory.
Some days, after our victory over Calisthenes, I went to my old room, it had quite a lot of dust. It was the room I lived in, before I moved into the palace with my uncle, and I saw a Bible in the room. I took the Bible to some evangelicals who lived near the borders of the Western Sun, after reading some parts of the Bible, they told me about Jesus Christ, and I gave my life to Christ while being with them day, I had a change of heart after giving my life to Christ. My future had been redefined.
I went to meet my uncle concerning my new-found faith in Christ, even though he was not happy with my decision, and he did try to discourage me.
“Repeat what you just said!” My uncle responded in annoyance after I had just revealed my faith in Christ.
“I have now found faith and hope in Jesus Christ, I am a Christian now!”  I said without mincing words.
“Deborah! You have just made a mistake, and by the time I am done with you…! Change your mind or else…” He replied with a frowning face.
And then he walked out on me, he removed some of the privileges of living in the palace that I had, but I had the respect of the workers and the soldiers staying in the palace, they respected and supported me a lot, so he could not really put me in the place of persecution.
Few days later, I heard of a plan to invade Calisthenes, and I warned my uncle against such, it was one of the heated discussions that we had in his office that I will never forget.
“I overheard that you want to invade Calisthenes!” I said in a sharp manner.
“The Council of Elders advised me to do so!”  He responded calmly.
“Those old men want your downfall! How can they…?” I wanted to explain, but I was interrupted by my now-angry uncle.
“Can you just keep quiet?” He said with blazing eyes.
I was a little bit frightened, but my mouth was not!
“Fine! I am sorry for my harshness of words.”  I replied humbly.
“That’s better. The truth is the elders of this country want the best for us.” He responded.
“I will not dispute that claim.” I replied. “But, we cannot afford to fight another war with Calisthenes, because if we lose, we will lose all the dignity and respect we have gathered from the final war we had, just think about it.” I continued.
“Your idea is not making sense in my head.”  He responded in a sarcastic manner.
“Okay. I want you to give your life to Christ before going for this war, because if you lose, you won’t lose heaven at the end.” I paused for a while, and then continued, “One more thing, I won’t be a part of such a war, you don’t need me, happy winning!” I said with a kind of smile that spelt danger! (If you are a good communicator, you will know that there are different kind of smiles.)
My uncle reclined himself in the chair for a while, as I turned to leave, he gave his response.
“Wait!”
And I obeyed his order.
“You have some very strong points, so I have changed my mind, but mark my words, Jesus Christ is non-existent and unreal! You may leave.” My uncle said in melancholic tones.
As I left his office, his last words to me stuck in my head for a while, but I chose to not take it to heart, life would not be worth living if Jesus never existed! That was what I thought.
