Kirstie was never one to confess her undying love for anyone. Not before a relationship, although she had never felt so strongly about someone. That someone was Avi, and she was going to get him. She felt sudden nerves thinking her plan over in her head. She needed to break up with Jeremy.
Kirstie shook in her boots.
Jeremy was the kind of guy who owns wife beaters because he is a wife beater. He has no respect for any women ever. He told his mother off. His mother. And now Kirstie, the short girl who hates violence, would have to walk into the belly of the beast. Kirstie couldn't take it anymore. She ran out of her apartment into the street. Her sobs racked her body in shuddering waves. She saw Kevin walking her way. She attempted to wipe her tears and collect herself, but her cries could only be muffled by Kevin's trademark cotton shirt.
"What's up, baby girl?" Kevin kept her in a brotherly lock to keep her from escaping.
"I have to break up with Jeremy," she sobbed once more, and Kevin soothingly stroked her hair.
"Why is that?"
"He's a no good drunk who doesn't respect me."
"Good girl, getting out of that."
Kevin made sure she was alright, and continued making his way downtown. Kirstie wiped here eyes with the heels of her hands. Kevin was her older brother. He (if Avi didn't get to him first) would always offer to go and beat up any guy who did her wrong. She smiled at her amazing band mates, and went to her bedroom, packing in anticipation.A/N
