Ryleigh's POV
As Erik and Madame Giry walked in, I froze in fear and uncertainty. What if it didn't work? I tried to calm down, but I couldn't. Katelyn sensed my nerves, and she came over and squeezed my hand reassuringly."Ryleigh, calm down, it'll be fine" she said softly.
"I-I'm just s-scared that it won't w-work" I breathed, my breath getting heavier and heavier.
"If it doesn't, then it'll be okay. I promise" she said, and we briefly hugged. When she pulled away, she looked over at the two standing by the door. "Just out of curiosity, how weird did we just look?" Katelyn said, and I started giggling.
"Very" Erik and Madame Giry said in unison, and Katelyn started trying to hold back her laughter.
"Well, should we try this, then?" Madame Giry asked, a slight smile on her face. Erik nodded, and Katelyn looked towards me for an answer. I nodded back, and she repeated the action towards Madame Giry.
"Maybe they should have a little privacy?" Katelyn asked, causing me to let out a little sigh of relief.
"Of course. We'll be outside, Erik. And Ryleigh" she said, smiling towards where she thought I was. Then Madame Giry and Katelyn stepped into the hallway, shutting the door behind them. I walked over towards my bed, and stood across from Erik. He sat down in the chair next to my bedside, a worried look on his face.
"Ryleigh, I love you more than words, more than anything on this Earth. And if you can, please wake up, please" he said, and then he leaned down to meet my lips.
At first I just stood there watching, a feeling of hopelessness taking over me, but then I felt myself being pulled towards my body. I gasped a little, but then suddenly felt like I was laying down. I realized that I was back inside my body, and that Erik was still kissing me. I did the only thing that I could: I kissed him back as passionately as I could, with all of the emotions I had stored up for the past weeks. He pulled away and I opened my eyes, both of us staring at each other with looks of shock on our faces.
"Ryleigh" he breathed heavily, and I smiled towards him, nodding my head slightly.
"Erik" I whispered, and the two of us dove into another kiss, forgetting about all of our worries and uncertainty.
