Montana's POV
Zeus.
Zeus.
Zeus.
Zeus's free day is filled. We started the morning with breakfast, then we went to a few little shops and finally we went on the Yacht. We swam and spent most of the day there relaxing. We had dinner under the sunset, and it's been perfect. The most beautiful day ever. I can't help but think about us doing this forever.
I'd love to marry him. But there's one thing nagging in my head. Jared, he's been texting me. I know he deserves some type of answer and to know why I acted how I did. But I know Zeus would not like that.
But I made my decision and it's Zeus. He has to trust that I wouldn't throw this away for anyone. I just need to clear a few things off my chest with Jared. To make him understand that we can't go there. I sigh as I look at my clothing.
We're both the most casualty dressed as we've ever been. In sweatshirts and sweats and slippers just cuddling.
"I don't want to go back to work tomorrow," he whispers in my ear as I lay between his legs watching the water and laugh. "Me either," I smile as he cuddles into me. It was warmer during the day than it is now, the seasons are changing and I can feel it. We won't be able to swim in the water much longer but that doesn't matter. We'll still be able to come out here and enjoy some time together.
"I have something planned Friday night. Don't ask any questions or anything. Promise? It's something I wanted to do," he tells me as I nod and smile. Is this my engagement?
"Can I get a hint?" I ask as he sighs. "Nope. I have it all planned. Now he quiet." He tells me as I laugh.
"Yeah yeah," I mumble as he kisses my head and we finish watching the sunset. It's never looked so beautiful.
____
When Thursday falls we're still in our routine of things. I decide to actually do my job and work for once surprisingly. From eight to five I'm working from the penthouse. My new job is mostly online, which means I can work from anywhere and I like that about it. Normally I'd want to go in, but I didn't feel like it today.
That's because when five rolls around I have plans to meet Jared. Not for a date, not for drinks, but so I can apologize to him. Zeus doesn't know, and I feel awful for keeping such a secret from him, but he can't know. He would flip, he'd do something he wasn't proud of.
I'm in casual jeans and a blouse with my curled hair and white sneakers. I decided not to look like I've tried a lot because I don't want to give him the wrong idea. Grabbing my keys, I quickly smile at my flowers and head out the penthouse. Normally I'd have Charles driving me, but I kindly told him I needed to go get dinner for Zeus and I alone. I told him to take the night off and spend it with his girls.
