I stood a bit behind Bella as she knelt at the end of the Cul-De-Sac potting a small barrel cactus. This was our last few minutes here in hot, Phoenix, Arizona. We were moving one thousand five hundred and seven miles roughly to live in constantly rainy, Forks, Washington. The reason we were moving so far and away from our mother is so she could travel with Phil, her husband. He's a minor league baseball player. Bella and I talked about moving a few weeks ago and agreed that we need to spend time with dad and we could both see the sacrifice in mom's eyes every time Phil had left.

"Bye, Bella! Nico!" I looked up as one of the bleach blondes across the street waved at us.

I rolled my eyes at them. Her and her friends loved to make fun of Bella and her clumsiness.

"Make sure to write!" Another bimbo called out.

"We'll miss you." The third one called out before they all cackled looking toward my twin.

I snap my eyes back to her and saw that Bella had somehow fell on her face. I quickly rushed to her helping her up from the ground. I inspect her for injuries and luckily there was none. Bella huffed dusting off her shirt. She opened her mouth to say something with a cell was thrust in our faces.

"It won't work again babies." Mom says with a deep frown.

Bella took it from her and I glance over her shoulder and saw mom had put it on hold again.

"You put it on hold again." Bella explained.

"Look you even called Mexico." I joked.

We laughed as mom playfully shoved me before she gave us a small sad smile.

"I'll figure it out." She says. "I have to get ahold of you girls somehow while I'm on the road. I love saying that, on the road."

"Very romantic." Bella smiled slightly.

I glanced up seeing Phil come out carrying the last of the bags to the old station wagon before walking up to us.

"If you call ballpark hot dogs and backwater hotels romantic." he says as he put his Phoenix Dessert Dogs baseball cap on mom's head with a kiss.

I smiled at their love. Phil reassured me that mom was going to be just fine. She'll have someone to call when she gets lost, which happens a lot. She'll have food in the fridge, someone to remind her to get the dry cleaning, the bills would be paid.

"Are you girls sure you want to go?" Mom asked as Phil went back to the station wagon.

"We're sure mom." Bella says as I nodded.

"Bella, you've always hated Forks." Mom says to her.

"Momma," I say gently. "It's not about Forks. It's about dad."

Mom took a deep breath before replying, "If either of you want to come home, call me and I'll come back wherever I am for you."

"I love you all but, we've got a plane to catch!" Phil called out.

Mom gave us a watery smile as she pulled us into a tight hug before looping her arms through ours leading us to the car. Bella and I climbed into the back as mom climbed into the passenger seat. I reached across the seat and gently grabbed Bella's hand squeezing it.

--

Bella and I walked out the airport searching for our father, Charlie. My eyes landed on a man in a police uniform with a mustache leaning against a police cruiser. My smile brightens as I ran toward him as fast as I could with the luggage in my hands.

"Dad!" I squealed dropping my bags and colliding with the man's chest.

Dad let out a chuckle before he wrapped me up in his arms giving me a great squeeze.

"I missed you Coco." He sighed.

"I missed you too dad." I  mumbled into his chest.

We pulled away as Bella stumbled over. As I stepped to the side she ended up tripping and landed in dad's arms. I laughed slightly as they awkwardly hugged.

"How's your mother?" dad asked as he and Bella pulled away.

"She's good." Bella says.

"She says, 'hi.'" I added.

Dad nodded as he loaded the bags into the trunk refusing to let us help. I quickly clambered into the backseat forcing Bella to sit up front causing her to glare at me. Dad climbed in soon after starting the car and we headed off towards Forks. It was a little over an hour drive from Port Angeles to Forks.

--

Dad stopped at a red light and he glanced toward Bella. The whole ride had been awkward. No one spoke.

"Your hair's longer." Dad says.

I watched as Bella played with the ends of her hair. "I cut it since I last saw you."

"Well, I guess it grew out again." Dad grunted before looking at me in the rear view mirror. "I see you got your nose pierced."

I smiled slightly at him nodding. "Took a while to convince mom to let me do it."

The car got silent again and I turned to look at all the buildings. They all seemed rustic. I loved it. There was also so much green. Green was one of my favorite colors. I smiled as I watched the green fly by.

--

Dad pulls into the grass in front of the familiar two story house that Bella and I lived in up until we were only two years old. That's when mom had enough of Forks and divorced dad taking Bella and I with her. We used to visit dad every summer until we were thirteen and Bella put her foot down, refusing to go to Forks making Dad vacation with us in California for a week instead.

We all climb out the car. Bella and I grab a couple of our bags while dad had grabbed the rest. He lead us up toward the house and inside. I glance around smiling slightly at the now pale yellow cabinets that mom had painted wanting to bring more sun into the house. The kitchen a table with three mismatched chairs. In the living room there was photos on the mantel a new flat screen TV. I laughed slightly under my breath seeing the stuffed fish I had crocheted dad sitting on the sofa. We followed dad up the stairs. Lining the walls were drawings to daddy from Bella and I, pictures of Bella and I throughout the school years. I smiled at a picture that Bella cringed at, it was of her in her tutu in ballet when she was five. The picture beside it was me sitting on my piano bench smiling up at the camera.

"The bathrooms at the top of the stairs." Dad mentioned.

"Oh right." Bella mumbled. "Only one bathroom."

Dad lead us into a bedroom. It was Bella's.

"I put Grandpa Swan's old desk in here." Dad says. "I hope you like purple the sales lady helped me pick it out."

"Purples cool." Bella replied.

"Alright." Dad cleared his throat. "Coco, lets go to your room."

I followed dad out of Bella's room to the right. I smiled at the room. It looked almost identical to my old one back in Phoenix.

"Your mom helped me design it." Dad says. "She said you don't really care for changing the design of your room."

I rushed over and hugged dad tightly. He chuckled as he kissed my hair.

"Your piano is still where its been since you were little." Dad says.

"I love you dad." I mumbled.

"I love you too, kiddo." He chuckled. "Now, I'll let you unpack."
