This scene is set after the party at Kie's house taking care of a drunk Sarah.
"Sarah, you got to at least try and help" Kiara says trying to drag her up the stairs
After the whole fight at the party Kie's parents allowed Sarah to spend the night. Sarah got hammered at the party.
"Im so sorry. I fuck everything up, Im a terrible person." Sarah cries
"No Sarah, you're not" Kiara says
"Yes I am, I.. Im" Sarah tries to speak but just breaks down crying
So now Kiara is holding Sarah in her arms on the stairs trying not to fall. Kie lets her cry for a little bit before taking Sarahs face in her hands wiping away some hair.
"You are not a terrible person Sarah" Kie says
"Why does it feel like it then?" Sarah ask
"Because it was a shit night and its been a shit couple of weeks. Yes you made a mistake, but I promise you Sarah, you are NOT a terrible person. Okay." Kie responds
Sarah just shakes her head and wipes her tears
"Come on lets go to bed" Kiara says picking Sarah up the best she can.
They get to Kies bedroom and Kie gives Sarah some PJs to change into before she does the same. Kie helps Sarah clean up wiping whats left of her make up off. They then go and lay in Kies bed.
"Im sorry" Sarah says
"For what" Kie questions
"For breaking my promise" Sarah replies
When Kie just furrows her eyebrows making a confused face Sarah adds "About bailing on John B"
Kie dosent know what to say because apart of her is mad at Sarah, so she just nods her head and gives a slight smile. They don't say anything for a few minutes leaving Kie to think about everything that happened tonight. Sarah and John B are over and it makes her sad which is kinda funny since she hated the idea of them at first. Then her mind wanders over to JJ. JJ oh my GOD she said she loved him.
Its not like she meant to the words just flew out, and its not like she didn't mean them. She was just so fed up with him being a dick and pushing her away. Purposely trying to hurt her like that would stop whatever she was feeling for him. And then he walked up to her saying it wasn't gonna work, shes never felt so exposed in her life. Sarah must see notice the battle in her head because she scoots over to her wrapping her arms around her in a hug.
"Do you hate me?" Sarah asks
"What, no" Kie says
"What are you thinking about?" Sarah says
"Just tonight, it was alot" Kie sighs
"Like what happened with me and John B" Sarah ask
"Kinda, only partly" Kiara responds
"You know you can talk to me. Right?" Sarah says
Kiara nodds her head and wonders if she should tell Sarah. This whole thing with JJ has been so confusing. She hasnt talked about it with anyone.
"Its just.." Kie starts then stops
"Kie you can tell me. Plus I'm drunk and probably won't remember in the morning" Sarah says earning a smile from Kie
"Its about JJ" Kie says
"JJ?" Sarah questions and Kiara nods her head
"What about him" Sarah ask
Kie sighed at the question. 'What not about him' she thought
"He just.. he just gets on my nerves" Kiara said
"Whose dosen't he get on" Sarah chuckles
Sarah's comment draws a giggle from Kie, but when her giggle fades into a frown Sarah softens her face and wonders if she's missing something.
"Kie" Sarah says
Kiara turns and looks over at Sarah, her face is still stained from a few tears but her big brown eyes are comforting.
"Whatever you are not saying you can tell me" Sarah reassures once again
"He is just so frustrating!" Kiara exclaims "Like he keeps doing things on purpose to push me away, to try and get me to stop caring. It has just gotten to the point where I'm fed up, cause hasn't he got it in his thick skull that I've always cared and I'm not gonna stop." Kiara says letting out a breath.
"Well JJ is an idiot Kie, it's obvious how much you care for him" Sarah replies
Kie wonders how obvious, like how she's completely in love with him obvious, or just normal obvious.
"He just keeps doing things that hurt me and the thing that really hurts is that he knows it hurts me." Kiara says quietly playing with her rings
"I think he likes you" Sarah says smiling
"What makes you say that" Kiara ask
"He looks at you" Sarah replies
"What?" Kiara questions
"Like when you're not looking and when he thinks no one else is. I've caught him a few time" Sarah states
Kiara just hums as a response and wonders how many times has he looked at her. How often does he do it. She smiles at the thought.
"Whatever is going on though, you and JJ will work it out. I'm positive" Sarah says smiling at Kie
"Goodnight Sarah" Kie says
"Night Kie" Sarah responds
Sarah drifts off to sleep rather quickly, while Kie is left awake with her thoughts about that aggravating, obnoxious, warm hearted boy.
