Chapter 1
FLASHBACK!
Clover's POV
I bounced up and down in my spot waiting for my presents from my brothers. It was my 14th birthday and boy was I happy! I had a like billions of presents on my table but I was waiting for Andrew and Shawn's presents. They always got me the best presents! I grinned widely as I saw them approach with two purple boxes.
"Happy birthday sis!" Shawn yelled and then kissing my forehead. I shoved him off and began rubbing my forehead in disgust.
"Yeah, yeah! Now give me my present!" I said ripping through the light purple wrapping paper. He chuckled as I began searching though the box. I gasped it was mermaid necklace because I'm obsessed with mermaids.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I shouted while attacking him with a hug. He laughed and hugged me back.
"Hey! My turn!" whined Andrew while shoving his purple box in my hand. I grinned and began ripping through to find another box. I opened it up to find a ipod touch. I squealed and hugged him. He also laughed and hugged me back.
"So, I'm guessing you like it?" he laughed, I nodded and clutched it to my chest. They chuckled lightly and went to go sit on the couch.
"So is my little sister ready for the party?" asked Shawn, I nodded and sat next to Andrew. He out his muscular arm on my shoulder and laid his head against my head.
"I can't wait! Mandy and Amy are super excited also!" I squealed knowing I was going to have the best party in our middle school. I started doing my happy dance making the boys laugh. I honestly couldn't complain about my life. I had great parents, brothers and friends. I heard the door bell ring and I knew who it was right away.
I jumped up and sprinted toward the door. I opened it up and there stood my sisters. Amy with her long blonde hair tied in a pony tail smiled at me. Her crystal blue eyes were shining with excitement. Mandy with her short brown bob pulled me in a bone crushing hug, her brown eyes were filled with happiness.
"Happy birthday kiddio!" squealed Amy hugging me after Mandy.
"Thanks doll faces!" I giggled while hugging them both back. They followed me inside and we all sat in the living room. Mandy sat next to Andrew while Amy sat with Shawn. They all started talking, I shrugged and walked into the kitchen. I grabbed a ice cream cone and then walked outside. I decided to get the mail so I wouldn't forget. I scanned through the mail and noticed that I got mail.
"Xavier's School of Art" I read, I opened the letter and began reading sliently to myself. I gasped as I read that I had gotten accepted into this school.
"Oh my god!" I yelled clutching the letter to my chest. I was going to an art school! This truely is the best birthday ever! I was about to run inside to tell them everyone the good news when I stopped. In the window, I could see my brother Shawn making out with my best friend Amy. Tears were pouring down my cheeks. I held my breath and looked down. I decided to go the back way, I jumped over the fence but stopped when I heard voices. I hid behind the a bush and listened in.
"You know I feel so bad for doing this behind Clover's back." said Mandy snuggling into Shawn's chest. He sighed and stared into the woods.
"I know, Andrew and Amy hate it too. I still can't believe we've been doing this behind her back for 5 years. When do you think we should tell her?" asked Shawn while making circles on her back.
FIVE YEARS?! I felt like my heart broke. Four important people in my lives have been lying to me. I clenched my teeth and sliently ran out of the backyard. I began crying walking walking on the sidewalk. I couldn't stop crying, my heart began filling with hate as I saw images of them flashing in my head. I thought we were all close. My brothers were lying to me? My friends too! I sat on the bench ignoring everyone who whispered about me. I wiped my tears away furiously and got up from the bench.
